You may vote on three tracks, one from each category (long, medium, short). Do NOT vote on more than one track in each category!
Note: The categories show as poll options - obviously, don't pick them!

--------------------------------

Folks, it's that time of year again: Track selection for the next season.

The theme for season four is historical tracks of Europe!

Doug Schulz presented this idea to me and I love it. He committed to having the selected tracks ready for season four (May/June 2017).

The proposed tracks have not been developed yet so you're running a bit blind. To ensure we have a nice mix, the tracks were put into three sub-categories by Doug (long, medium, & short) from which we'll pull one per category.

Please post comments if you wish to lobby for any of your favorites!

Here are Doug's track descriptions for each:

Long tracks

1) Reims, France (9 grand prix between 1953-1966) ~120 spaces but only 5 corners 3 of which look pretty fast. This is your classic old-school drive straight to that town, turn right then drive to the next town in a triangle track.

2) Berne / Bregarten, Switzerland (5 grand prix between 1950 - 1954) ~105 spaces maybe 11 corners. This looks like your classic twisting through the forest old-school track.

3) Rouen, France (4 grand prix from 1957 - 1968) ~94 spaces, 8 corners. A mix thematically between the first 2 choices. Would profile the most like the modern Spa.

Medium tracks

4) Imola, Italy (15 grand prix between 1980 and 1994) ~73 spaces, 7 corners. First corner is a crazy fast sweeping left hander that killed Aryton Senna.

5) Castellet / Paul Ricard, France (9 grand prix between 1971 - 1985) ~84 spaces, 7 corners. One straight is going to be roughly 26 spaces long into a crazy high speed corner. Probably more 3-wide than any other track on this list.

6) Liverpool / Aintree, UK (5 grand prix between 1955 - 1962) ~70 spaces, 8 corners.

Short tracks

7) Zandvoort, Netherlands (17 grand prix between 1952 - 1971) ~60 spaces, 9 corners. But a number will be pretty fast.

8) Estoril, Portugal (10 grand prix between 1984 - 1993) ~63 spaces, 8 corners. Some very tight and narrow sections.

9) Zolder, Belgium (9 grand prix between 1975 - 1984) ~61 spaces, 7 corners.

10) Jarama, Spain (8 grand prix between 1968 - 1979) ~49 spaces, 10 corners although the last corner barely counts. Very, very tight obviously.

11) Anderstorp, Sweeden (4 grand prix between 1974 - 1977) ~58 spaces, 7 corners. Features a long straight that doubled as a runway and 4 long, slightly banked, hairpin corners. Dates in question.

You may vote on three tracks, one from each category (long, medium, short). Do NOT vote on more than one track in each category!

Not Anderstorp. It has a corner named "Hansen." Too distracting humming "Mmm...bop" while I'm driving.

We have our tracks for season 4!

The two clear cut winners for long & medium tracks are Rouen & Castellet/Paul Ricaard respectively. We'll be spending lots of time in France. Estoril, in Portugal, narrowly takes the vote for short track.
