Down to one game Freeman. :uhoh:

If you're reading this, you've obviously noted the merger with 'Fantasy Sports'. I was doing a little cleaning up and didn't really think SOM warranted it's own category. It is, after all, just you and me!

No chance in game 6 but still got one more try...
Yes, a forum dedicated to a conversation by two people over a game no else cares about-- makes sense to me! But it does make playing Strato more fun...

The strat wins again...I did pulverize him 18-5 and beat him two out of three in the new league, though.

Sorry, Freeman. :frown: At least you got a game credit out of it.

Looking at Tanner Scheppers card, can you tell me why he gets fatigued after one batter and takes like a week to get back to F9? I think I'll drop him since he's so useless (and stupid expensive).

I have had Scheppers a few times and he's been a pretty solid reliever for me for the most part. However, he is a C0, meaning that if he used as a closer he goes 0 outs before getting fatigued--so you can't use him as a closer. Since you say that he is having so many problems with fatigue my guess is that you have him as a closer.. I took a look at your team and you don't have any rated closers--I don't think that is doable. You need to get rid of Scheppers and maybe get Romo (though I have not had much success with him but at least he is a C6) or someone else you like but I would get at least a C3. Good luck!

Why would they give someone a closer rating when they can't effectively close? Makes no sense. I pulled him from the role and slotted in other RP's.

Yeah, I don't know why....I have assumed that you would need a reliever who was a closer, because of the different closer rating, so I am not sure you can substitute other relievers into that role, but I certainly don't know for sure. You might want to check what's happening to the substitute relievers to see if they are not having the same problem as Scheppers.

What a difference with Scheppers. He came in as a non-closer, pitched to 4 batters, then came back the next game for 8 more batters, all at F9. He shall never close again (although he did get a save anyway).

I haven't seen what my new designated closers will do - they haven't been called on yet.

Injuries... blech. We certainly lead the league in that department.

Cows

12 incidents with an average of 4 days per event
5 players involved (Quentin's showed up 6 times!)
48 player days lost
$1.72 m in lost player value

Sluggers

9 incidents with an average of ~6.5 days per event
7 players involved
58 player days lost
$1.13 m in lost player value

No other team is even close to us in lost injury days. The next two highest are tied at 29.

I suppose I took a few high injury guys but it does seem like my team is getting more injuries than it should...I have 4 guys injured right now. Tough to win when that happens...

The injuries just keep piling up. Updated numbers for the Cows:

16 incidents with an average of 5 days per event
6 players involved (Quentin's showed up 6 times!)
81 player days lost
$2.786 m in lost player value

Aaaarghhhh!

Looks like another losing season for the Cows...

Freeman, if you set up another can we wait until after the RBL auction? I assume you'd move to the 2014 set which would take me some time to familiarize myself with. Not that it matters how much prep work I do but at the least I can fool myself into thinking it does.

Sure, I was planning to wait until after my Fantasy Baseball drafts are done, too.

So I signed up for the tour event (best 4 out of 5 events results narrow the field to 36, then that is narrowed to a 12 team final)The first event has 9 leagues with 108 teams. My league has two former champions, one in my own division. Surprisingly, I am 22-11 and I am tied for first in the overall standings.http://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/tournament/23
