Of all the "news" items I've read over the past three days since this has come out, this is probably the most important. Repairing the severed cells in the spinal cord? Holy crap, that was supposed to be impossible, but it appears someone figured out a way of doing it. That's fantastic.

It would be so astounding to live in an age where where spines could be repaired routinely. We all know people personally who are experiencing paralysis.
