Come on, how can this forum be so underused? Researchers discover long sought after remnants of the rapid expansion of the big bang. Further, this finding limits competing/alternative details of models, bringing us (marginally) closer to a unified theory.

Yep, it's fabulous!

I'm waiting for our local LIGO to start pulling in results. Great tour by the way if any of you gents have travels near the Hanford Reservation where it's located.

Jumped the gun on that one - seems the data may not be as compelling after all. How surprising, being a "big science" paper complete with press release :rolleyes:
