You probably did not realize that Alice Cooper released the best Diplomacy song ever 43 years ago next month.

Of course you've got to change the words a little, but just a little:

Lines form to the east and west
Lines form to the north and south
I´m in the middle, with too many plans
I´m his boy, but I´m the man.

I need eighteen
Oh yeah, I know what I want
Oh I sure know what I want
I gotta get to there
I gotta grow out of my base
I´ll keep spreading to outer space
Oh yeah.

I got a
Siliver tongue and a coal black heart
Took too many years to get this far
Don´t always know what they’re talkin´ about
Feels like I´m livin´ in the middle of doubt
Cause I need eighteen
I get confused every day
I just don´t know what to say
I gotta get to there.

Splendid idea! Your meter might need a bit of work here and there, but overall, a great job on a great song!
