Hi guys, good to see this back up and running again.

Might I recommend that somebody starts sending round emails to known Redscapers to let them know that it's back up and running ? I only found out because I contacted a few people and Aaron told me about it, the link I had stored in my favourites was no longer working and I just assumed the site was still down. Would be a shame to lose people just because they're unaware that we're back up.

Sharur checking in. I'd appreciate having my info ported over.

Also, anyone up for starting a new Redscape History thread, so we can re-post those? I'd do it myself, but I don't want to have the first post and then be responsible for updating the index :P

Great look!

A belated Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Fuzzy Festivus to all--and an anticipatory Happy New Year!

Btw, is it just a coincidence that I chose the same avatar as Minister X?

Yes!

Heya All, Diemo checking in again. Glad to see Redscape is up again (even in it's altered form). I think that the zombie avatars go with the Resurruction theme...

I like it, but I'm not sure I'll ever get used to this avatar. Even on Yahoo I linked my avatar there to the one I used here. Still this looks like a promising start.

Hey peeps!

Jediknight checking in. Who do we contact about getting our previous information moved over?

In other news, I am going to change Talkie to a standard (without posting obviously) so we can finish it off since it's not being moved over. What about the tourney games? Will forums be made?

Good point about Redscapers who bookmarked the old site; that link was under "forum", not "forums". I'll fix this when I get home.

Also, the Macabre avatar set is only the first gallery to be ported over. I'll be bringing back all the old avatars, but I have to remake each one. The old avatars were ".gifs" which means they weren't 100% transparent. So, I could only use those avatars over very light backgrounds. Anyways, these new avatars are 100% transparent so I can put any graphic or color behind them. What's better, the frames aren't part of the avatar anymore. So depending on which forum you're in, the frame will change to match the forum theme. OK, I wrote a very long paragraph about that...

We can open up any game/topic forums needed after the NYE holiday. These forums were just to get us started.

We can't automatically port over any forum data from the old server; that data is corrupted and the wrong database type. The only way to salvage specific posts are to go to the old server, copy and paste the text to a new topic here.

FYI I'm getting some text-over-graphics making things hard to read. Also: I seem to have to log in again and again whenever I do anything, regardless of how it's been since I last logged in. Cookies are OK; Firefox 3.6.13; Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits.

BTW - a thread for stuff like this might be useful, and make it easier for you while in Beta mode.

Great to see us back on line again--Thanks Chad!

Your paragraph on the simple issue of avatars speaks to your high standards, which we all benefit from.

Happy new year everyone!

Its going to be a while before I'm able to recognize everyone by their avatars. Will new avatars be added to the present selection or are we going to have select avatars available with different website themes?

Ah, just a quick note: I don't seem able to find the "edit post" option that was available on the previous forum. Is this function available?

Hi Chad, I'd appreciate it if you transferred my information over as well.

How much longer will the old server/forum be up?
