Hi everyone,

This is a repeat post in case people didn't see the "Global Announcement":

If you are having trouble logging in, it is because all the passwords got changed in order to fuse the Redscape Forum database with the Otto (automated adjudicator) database.

To login, go to:
http://www.redscape.com/games/logon.php?forgotPassword=1

Enter the Username you used for the forums.

Check your email for the new code.

Login and reset the new password back to the old password (if you wish).

You should now be able to switch back and forth between the two areas ("/forums" and "/games").

If this doesn't work, email me via my profile link or post to this thread.

Chad, your link is missing its tail. Here it is from your other thread for those popping in now:

I can login with the new password that the system generated, but I can't change it. Under my prefs, I can submit a change, but it doesn't take. It also tells me that my password is too short, which might be the problem, except that my password is significantly longer than the started 6 character minimum. Any idea what's going on?

SLOTerp, thanks for posting the proper link.

Sharur, are you trying to change your password via the Forums interface? That won't work anymore (I'll be amending links tonight/tomorrow). Try changing your password in Otto.

After some work I could log in.
I have to report problems with private messages.
I see one in my inbox, I click reply, if fill subject and text, I click submit, nothing happens.
No change on the screen, and outbox is empty

Yes, I need to work on the PM feature: it IS currently broken. You cannot get the reply feature to work.

Update for those already registered but unable to login:

Go to: http://www.redscape.com/games/

Request a new password from that login page. Use the new password to login. Let me know if you are still having troubles after that.

Good message to repost, Chad. Wonder if you'll also have time to put a link to Otto from here?

I'll have to do it manually. Unfortunately, webJudge/OTTO doesn't allow for username changes, but I can do that directly in the database.

I'm not really sure how this happened, but suddenly I have two accounts, SnakeIV and Snake IV, and I cannot access the prior, proper one because you have to log on using web diplomacy where I since before is know as Snake IV, unable to create the accoutn SnakeIV there as the mail is taken. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I also tried to send the above to a GM so I woulnd't bother everyone, but it failed saying I didn't have a subject even when I did.

EDIT: I think it'd be good if all info on the old account SnakeIV, could just be transfered to the new one, Snake IV.

Snake IV: OK, I forced reactivation on your previous account:

Go to: http://www.redscape.com/games/

Request a new password from that login page. Use the new password to login. Let me know if you are still having troubles after that.

Forgot about this for a long time, but now I tried, and I still have issues. As far as aI recall the problem is that I cannot registrer SnakeIV with teh mail it shoudl have been, so my acctual account isn't linked with the new SNakeIV webDiplomacy account. Does it make sense?
