Haha, after that castigation in the Political forum for my comments on the GOP I should change that portrait to Obama...but you're welcome!

Bobby: working on 'em! I still have over 200+ avatars to go...

How far along are you now? My old avatar still hasn't shown up, so I'm hoping it's not been abandoned...

I will be adding some American Historical avatars before too long. Have some images I need to scan still.

Chad,

Have you had any success in getting some American Historical avatars?

I have a suggestion. (I'm perfectly content with the current selection, mind you, but obviously Chad does intend to expand the current library.) How about a few of the folks who would like to see the selection grow volunteer to become Chad's avatar team. He could outline the technical basics and these folks could go about the grunt work of churning them out, subject of course to his final approval. Just a thought.

I'll probably have to make the avatars to keep them consistent. However, feel free to post artwork if you find something you like.
However, I want to keep the artwork similar in style: high-quality images that are drawn along the lines of what you see in the galleries.

As for American Historical avatars, I did get a book on Revolutionary War portraits, but I need to get them scanned. Maybe sometime later this month I can begin posting them.

This is the one right? (WWII German Air Force Officer)

I hope also that the WWII German Air Force Sergeant will be available in the future. Since Rolls and I are using the same avatar at present I believe.

I heard the Polish Air Force never got off the ground... (ba da bing).

Seriously though, the Poles were supposdedly pretty damned good pilots during the Battle of Britian.
