This is the one right? (WWII German Air Force Officer)

I hope also that the WWII German Air Force Sergeant will be available in the future. Since Rolls and I are using the same avatar at present I believe.

Seriously though, the Poles were supposdedly pretty damned good pilots during the Battle of Britian.

Indeed they were. I like to annoy xenophobes who don't like Eastern European immigrants by telling them that if the Poles hadn't been flying on our side in 1940, we could have lost WWII.

Unfortunately, I don't have all the graphics for the previous avatars stored on my computer (the books I collected most from are all packed up in my storage facility back in Texas). So, that warm jacket will have to wait a few more months.

Forgive my computer ignorance if this is a stupid question: I see all the avatars still on the old site - don't you have access to the files there?

yeah, I'm confused on that. it may be a bit slower, but all of the images can be downloaded using a browser, surely?

Nah, doesn't work like that. The old images are embedded in a format that is outmoded. I'd have to do 3 times the work just to make one avatar IF at all, based on the dimensions of the new avatar frames.

Why can't I find Chuck or Krusty? What are they under?

So I'm a number of months late in this, but now that I'm actually back and playing I've scoured the galleries and I can't find 'my' avatar. Unlike some of the others, I don't have a copy of it (though I'd like the file if it could be found). It was the guy with the tan button shirt and brown tie, the small tan hat with glasses. Looked kinda nerdy, fit me pretty well. I want to say he was in the ww2 French or ww2 Belgian categories (but I don't see a ww2 Belgium gallery, so maybe I'm mistaken). Old forum doesn't resolve anymore, so I can't even grab a screencap.

Not that I don't like my steampunk avatar, but it just doesn't feel...right. Does anyone remember the avatar, or - better - have the graphic? Chad, do you know what one I'm talking about?

Found it! Archive.org to the rescue. Good thing I remembered my original member number.

It should be in the ww2_french gallery, but that gallery only has a few avatars. This was the "ww2_french_infantry_officer.gif" file.

Chad, can you help a player out? :-P

Archive.org has their wayback machine - I searched for redscape.com and picked something from 2007. Was lucky enough that the profile page/location for someone was archived and when I changed their member number in the URL to mine, turns out my profile had been archived as well.

I don't think the gif I got was full resolution, but it at least gets the point across.
