Turn 14 Summary

MacDonald scrubs two wear at 100 through San Donato. He sets up the Luco line. Dygert, also at 100, runs the same line as the leader for two pellets.

Marshall cruises into lap 2 at 160.

Herbert grabs the dice cup w/ 1s to hit 160 (modified 2). McConchie runs alongside at 160.

Hudson, at 160, eschews the bonus and stays on the #23. Kay, at 140 and the bonus, sticks with the black machine.

Rando utilizes the blue line in Bucine to fly out at 160. Blanchett runs the the blue at 120, leaving some horses in the barn.

Hoyt clears Bucine on the inside at 80 for free.

Turn 15 Summary

MacDonald runs Poggio Secco at 80 for free. Dygert scrapes a wear at 100 on the same line and picks up the wing on the M&M's car.

Marshall pulls up to San Donato at 100 and takes the inside line.

Herbert and McConchie trade paint at 140 each and stay in formation.

Hudson, at 160, makes it a three-wide going into the hairpin. Kay, at 140, settles in on the inside.

Needham catches the pack at 160. Blanchett keeps the pace, also at 160.

Hoyt revs up the car to 140.

San Donato is looking like rush hour on the Beltway (or pick your favorite congested highway and insert here).

Turn 16 Summary

MacDonald clears Materassi on the racing lines at 100. Dygert, also at 100, gets hung in the middle.

Marshall slows to 60 and takes the inner line for free. Oh... that's who everyone is honking at - at least he's not in the passing lane!

Herbert plots 120 then late brakes with 1s (modified 8). He runs the 60's for two wear. Hudson goes next at 120 and runs the outer rail for two pellets. Last out of the three-wide is McConchie at 100. He burns a wear on the outer rail.

Kay, at 100, clips a tire on the secondary racing line. Rando plots 120 before late braking with 2s (modified 1). He sheds two wear on the inside line.

Blanchett pulls up to San Donato on the primary line at 120. Hoyt join the field on the 2nd lap at 140.

Turn 17 Summary

MacDonald is halfway through Casanova at 120. Dygert is clear of Materassi at 100.

Hudson gets initiative out of the three-wide at 140. He late brakes to 120 w/ 1s (modified 6) before running the Luco line for two pellets. Herbert goes next at 120. He also scrubs two wear on the Luco line. Marshall, at 100, burns a wear in the corner but drops two positions.

McConchie joins the primary chase pack at 100, burning a wear on the line and gaining a slip. Kay slows to 80 and dumps a wear in the Luco 60. Needham slows to 80 and gets shoved outside.

Blanchett overbrakes for a wear* then clears San Donato on the inside line at 60. Hoyt catches his wing by dropping two wear on the line.

*I will correct the chart next turn.

Turn 18 Summary

MacDonald is into Arrabiata at 120. Dygert is clear of Casanova at 120.

Hudson scrubs a tire at 120 through Materassi. Herbert knocks down one at 120 via the first line to the 100.

Marshal gains on the leaderboard at 100 and the bonus via the Materassi racing lines. McConchie clears the corner (line --> 100) at 100 plus the slip.

Kay pulls up to Materassi on the line at 120. Needham is clear of Luco & Secco at 80.

Blanchett burns a wear on the Luco line at 100 and finds a buddy on the other side. Hoyt is clear of Luco on the line at 80.

Turn 19 Summary

MacDonald clears Arrabiata on the blue line at 120. Dygert picks up the blue line on the big sweeper at 120.

Hudson clears Casanova at 120.

Herbert gets the initiative by plotting 160 (natural 8 on top) then late braking to 140 (natural 11). He damages the brakes (1w) and scrubs another in Casanova. Marshall, at 140, must apply the brakes with a wear. He's in Casanova for free at 120.

McConchie pulls into Casanova at 140 for a pellet.

Kay clears Materassi on the lines at 100. Needham also clears at 100.

Blanchett specifically requests outside at 120 for a wear. Maybe a mis-read of the corner? Hoyt pulls up to Materassi on the line at 120.

Turn 20 Summary

MacDonald approaches Scarperia on the line at 100. Dygert picks up his wing at 120.

Hudson and Herbert maintain relative position going into Arrabiata at 120 apiece.

McConchie gets initiative at 140 but has to slow down (1w) with the rolling blockade in front of him. Marshall follows the blockade at 120.

Kay eases his way through Casanova at 120. Needham burns a wear at 140.

Blanchett uses the 2nd arrow in Materassi at 120, wear already payed. Hoyt prefers not to use arrows and runs Materassi for free at 80. Who am I to judge?

Turn 21 Results

MacDonald eases his way through Scarperia on the line at 80. Dygert careens around the corner at 120, drops two wear, and finds clean air out front.

Hudson clears Arrabiata on the blue line at 140. Herbert tucks in at 120 on the blue.

McConchie picks up the line at 120. Marshall dives inside at 120, tosses in a pellet, and takes position on the #77.

Kay, at 120, picks up the blue line in Arrabiata. Needham clips a tire at 140 and puts some pressure on the Kroger Chevy.

Blanchett noses his way into Arrabiata at 120. Hoyt burns a wear in Casanova at 140.

Dygert scrubs two wear in Correntaio at 100 and will take a commanding race lead as we near the final lap. MacDonald runs to the outer rail at 80 for a pellet.

Hudson burns a wear to clear Scarperia at 100. Herbert also sheds a wear and clears at 100.

Marshall grabs the Scarperia line at 100. McConchie takes inside position at 100.

Kay pulls up behind the #22 at 140. Needham gets in line, also at 140.

Blanchett continues onto the blue line at 120. Hoyt picks up the blue line at 120 for free.

Turn 23 Summary

Dygert, as expected, jumps out to a big lead at 140. MacDonald clears Correntaio on the blue line at 100 with wear already paid.

Hudson pulls up to Correntaio on the line at 100. Herbert dives inside at 120 and has position.

McConchie scrubs a tire at 80 on the inside of Scarperia. Marshall runs the line at 80 for free.

Kay plots 100 but doesn't like what he sees. He sheds a wear on the late brake to 80 and runs the Scarperia line for free. Rando also performs a late brake from 100 with 1s (modified 7). Now at 80, he follows the #47.

Blanchett pulls up to Scarperia on the line at 120. Hoyt is in contact at 140.

Turn 24 Summary

Dygert overbrakes to 80 with 1s (modified 9). A little smoke but no fire! He runs the outer rail in Bucine for free. MacDonald pulls up to Bucine on the line at 100.

Herbert clears Correntaio at 100 for two wear, outside to the blue line. Hudson, at 80, knocks down a wear, red line to outside, and tucks in on the Dr. Pepper Toyota.

McConchie dives into Correntaio on the red line for a wear at 80. Marshall, also at 80, scrubs a tire on the outside.

Kay pulls up to Correntaio on the line at 80. Needham takes inside position at 100.

Blanchett runs Scarperia for free on the line at 80. Hoyt drops two wear at 120 and moves out of the cellar.

Hoyt clears Correntaio at 100 at a cost of two wear, 60's -> blue line. Blanchett scrubs a wear on the outside at 80.
