On the one hand, I admire the guy for being brave enough to go where the action is and call foul on Assad's actions against his citizens.
On the other hand...diplomats aren't usually supposed to burn bridges. Their jobs are to keep the lines of communication open with the Powers that Be. For now...that's Assad Jr.
But on the other other hand...Kid Assad will never be the USA's buddy. And nobody else is being allowed to report on the situation on the ground in Syria. Why not give the Ambassador some encouragement?
