Me too.

I was not going to compromise.

I am suffering from symptoms of acute schadenfreude right now though.

Bbauska,

I would have voted for him but he didn't make the Missouri ballot. Ms. Stein was the only other moral option available.

I was one of those who would not have admitted to pollsters that I voted for Trump (I was not asked, but if I were...)
But part of my reason for him, I live in New York State where I KNEW it didn't matter. If I lived in a swing state, I just don't know who I would have voted for? It was my "protest" vote of sorts only.

Time now to move on
Can Trump bring together the Republican party? I think the numbers he won by make it hard to ignore and they at least try. I don't think they will immediately block him but given time, that may be the situation. Democrats will learn from this as well but will they work with him? It's not like they would be helping a true Republican after all? Maybe he CAN bring us together? (no, I don't think so but it's possible?) Him being an outsider, maybe, just maybe he really can do this, we have been all too divisive and partisan for so very long, 8 years of Obama preceded by 8 years of Bush both doing as they wanted ignoring the other side, they claimed to want to reach across the aisle but neither did, maybe now it's possible?
