Big news coming for Philly.

Without LeToux, the Union are a much less certain contender. Maybe Mwanga, Mac, and the new strikers will step up, but it remains to be seen. I also seems to further amplify the loss of Mapp to Montreal. Of course, this is life in MLS, but that's not great news to me. Great news for LeToux. Bad news for the U.

I am not so sure. LeToux was very uneven last year. He didn't really start to produce goals until rather late in the season. I am not saying we aren't going to miss him but I think the others might be able to pick up the slack.

He was uneven in scoring, but he still wracked up assists and created chances. I hope you're right, but with no veteran presence up top, I'm a little cautious. Good thing our D is solid.

I agree that we need to be cautious. Hopefully Adu can take over as the veteran presence up front.

We also got some good news. Veljko Paunovic has stated he is going to retire. I know you liked him but I was never all that impressed with him. I just felt he was rather lazy.

Philadelphia is getting the MLS all-star game this year.

He scores with his left, he scores with his right
That boy Clint Dempsey makes Drogba look sh!te

(and no, we don't want Clint to go back home just yet, he's been banging them in this month)

Dempsey is having a beast of a season, I'll give you that. But I'd still rather have Didier on the U.

I'm making plans to watch the FA Cup match tomorrow. Donovan vs Dempsey...should be a good'n.

Yeah, it could be a good game, but Everton have a better team and our record at Goodison is pretty poor.

Landon won that one, then. As has happened too many times, Fulham just capitulated.

Everton did a great job of shutting both Dempsey and Ruiz down. I was actually pulling for Fulham, but I'm sure not nearly as much as you were.

In MLS news, it seems that LeToux didn't impress at Bolton and he'll be staying with the U. I don't think our youngsters are ready to take the reigns completely without him, so I'm happy about that.

Dude we just traded him to the Whitecaps for allocation money. Something must be up if Novak was that willing to get rid of him. Maybe we are finally going to get a DP?

No, it was for Torres. This is the reality of life in MLS (enter Randy...lol). Well I'd be surprised if we got a DP.

To me this means that we are going to see our youth shine. I'll be thrilled if we make the playoffs, but I'm looking toward 2013. We could have a dominant club by then with Torres, Mwanga, Mac, etc.

I didn't see the message about Torres. However, I can't believe Torres is making such a salary that they needed to clear Le Toux's salary from the books and get more even more allocation money.

I agree that I like our young prospects. Hopefully they stay here long enough.

Allocation $ = Transfer $. Torres was on loan. I made the deduction because the Torres news came in right after the LeToux transfer.
