Very cool! Do you have a link to that pic? I wonder if there is a higher resolution so I can read the articles. If I remember, you have to pay to look at old NY Times articles...

Interesting. The Proquest Historical Newspapers Database only has the title of that 11 Nov 1918 New York Times article but not the article itself.

I'm assuming Heligoland and North Sea were already solidly under the RN and as the Entente powers would have already moved through Belgium...
