Decided to say hi! I joined the forum in 2002. While many things have changed nice to see this place still kicking!

Still kicking...maybe had a few organ transplants. Some bifocals. A hearing aid. And a cane. But still going!

I also joined way back then... around 2003 - back in University. Haven't played Diplomacy in over a decade, unfortunately.

I joined sometime around 2005, and left when shortly after everyone seemed to jump to vdip and other online dip services. Son just asked me what the weird box that said "Diplomacy" on top of my bookshelf was, and thought I'd look to see if this was still around.

People still playing diplomacy here?

No, but we do have quite a following of a Formula 1 racing game (CFR). My son asked the same thing about Diplomacy and my bookcase game. Ahhh, good memories. I remember you as well.

I'd say that we don't have any games going now. I'm quite sure I'll start another again, the issue will be when, not if.

Good to see some still holding the post down. I'll keep checking back for dip games, and I'll look into the Formula 1 racing game. I know nothing about the sport, but have fond memories of gaming on this site.

When I started hosting the F1 game, I didn't know the first thing about the sport. The game was chosen because it lends itself to the format. I've discovered an interest in it because of the game.

I run the PBEM & live remote leagues so if you want to try your hand, shoot me an email (sloterp at verizon dot net).

Crawdadr, bbauska, geoganes, names of wickedly good Dip players I've encountered down through the years.

Speaking of which, can someone, other than me, take the time out of their busy lives to conduct another World Dip game for my personal enjoyment and to get us all through this dreary winter of grey skies and depressing world news?
