Sure it's an odd moment for a points update...but...I thought this moment should be observed anyways.

Obviously an anomaly. I'm certain the world will be on it's correct axis tomorrow.

I totally forgot about this. Haven't made a single change to my squad since the start of the WC. Amazing that I'm not bottom of the league really.

On to the semi-finals, according to their power rankings going into single eliminations there's been no upset wins, but there sure has been some amazing attempts. Bravo to Costa Rica for playing out a very serious attempt to advance.

If the power rankings hold the S. America teams will advance over the Europeans to the final. I predict that BRA-GER will be epic and fun to watch.

EOG: Good clean fun, even the confusion of how it all even worked in the beginning added to the challenge of it.

I love World Cup, looking forward to the next one, many great moments. I'd take it over the Olympics.

The other benefit, come final I was visually able to identify most of the players and understood their qualities. At the very beginning I couldn't have named a single male soccer player on any team. It wasn't till the semi-finals that I figured out what a clean card was.

Or as The Onion put it prior to the final "Messi attempting to cement legacy by being someone your dad has heard of."
