Although no positions change, several cars gain or lose a car length.

Turn 25 summary:
Pelligrino and Kennington both tap the brakes to 140 on approach to corner 14.
Swaine and Rae both gain on the leaders at 160.

Brown grabs his top gear to 160 and ends up leading a rope.
Rando uses all his acceleration to reach 140 but the slip keeps him right on Brown's spoiler.
Brandt has enough engine to reach 160 and stays tucked in behind Rando.
Schulz can only reach 140, grabbing the tail end of the line.

The three-wide drivers all plot 80 through the corner 11/12 complex.
Polcen has the inside advantage, shedding two wear through the 40/80 to end clear in P9.
Kellison and Haskell both drop one wear through the 60s/80 losing a length to the black machine.

Next deadline: turn 26 due Monday, March 30 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

NOTE: I have an appointment at 4pm Monday which should take 1.5 hours or less. The deadline is still 4pm (as shown by email arrival time). I will adjudicate the turn as soon as I'm home.

Several slips this turn but everyone holds position (and points)

Turn 26 summary:
Pellegrino starts at 100 then throws his final 3-skill chip at a late brake, shedding one wear on the line at 80.
Kennington hits the brakes hard to get to 60, following the purple machine through the line for free.
Swaine keeps the pedal down at 160, approaching on the line behind Kennington.
Rae taps the brakes to 140, deferring to Swaine for the tight corner 14.

Brown, Rando, Brandt and Schulz all do 160 down the straight, the latter three taking slips.

Polcen pushes his acceleration to top out at 160 and stay ahead of the rear pack.
Kellison's maximum acceleration brings him to 140 and the bonus keeps him right behind Polcen.
Haskell also maxes his acceleration to 140 but with no partner he falls in behind the silver race car.

Next deadline: turn 27 due Wednesday, April 1 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC (no fooling)

Corner 14 sees potential mayhem, and indeed it comes to pass!

Turn 27 summary:
Pellegrino shoots through the final corner on the racing line at 120 for free.
Kennington also plots 120 and with the bonus opts for the outside of the corner to stay in a slip position.
Swaine pays the maximum for a 100 move through the corner 14 racing line.
Rae locks his machine down to get to 40 for a wear and sits at the apex of the penultimate corner.

Rando charges ahead at 140 then drops a wear to get back to 120. Hitting the 60s he sheds two more wear but his tires lose the needed grip and he goes around in a cloud of tire smoke.
Brown starts at 120 and uses two skill to brake to 100. However, with Rando's spin he's forced to use a wear to get to 80, grabbing the racing line.
Brandt brakes to 100 and finishes inside on corner approach.
Schulz also reduces his speed to 100 using the slip to move to the outside of Brown.

Polcen thinks his power plant can handle 180 down the straight and it does.
Kellison plots 140 and uses the double bonus to keep pace with the black race car.
Haskell has the engine to reach 180 with no help to stay with the group.

Next deadline: turn 28 due Friday, April 3 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

NOTE: For those following, particularly Schulz, Rando will move 20mph next turn (his start speed)

As expected, a bit of a shake-up in the points, but everyone is safe this turn.

Turn 28 summary:
Pellegrino takes the white flag at 160, but not without a shadow.
Kennington also hits 160 and uses the bonus to again pull even with the leader.
Swaine pushes his engine to get it to 160 as well, keeping the gap constant.
Rae takes advantage of his tall gears and covers the corner 16 line at 120.

Rando gets pointed in the right direction and finishes the corner.
Brown is first out of the 3-wide at 60 for free on the line. (Unfortunately, he failed to specify a finish position. The default is inside so he cannot use the line next turn.)
Schulz does the only logical thing, getting down to 60 in case his pass fails. But he slips by the light green car and is on his way.
Brandt comfortably reduces his speed to 40 around the inside but gives up a position to Schulz..

Polcen locks up the binders hard to slow to 100, shedding two wear on the racing line.
Kellison approaches at 100 on the line behind the black machine.
Haskell has room on the outside at 120.

We have a new leader! And Swaine has closed up in third.

Turn 29 summary:

Kennington plots 160 then successfully makes a naked late brake roll to grab the lead into corner 1.
Pellegrino approaches at a cautious 120.
Swaine keeps the pedal down at 160 and tucks in behind the former leader.
Rae also maxes at 160 and is a threat to make it a four car race at the front.

Brown covers corner 16 on the outside at 120 and sits on the exit of the racing line.
Schulz follows the yellow car around the outside and uses the slip to dive inside and take the position.
Brandt denies Polcen the slip by plotting 100, moving around the inside he finishes on Schulz's wing.
Polcen has room to take the line at 120 for free but unfortunately has no way to pick up a slip next turn.

Rando gets to 80 and does get the bonus from Schulz allowing him to clear the final corner.
Kellison sheds one wear on the racing line through 14/15 and picks up the line into corner 16.
Haskell slows to 60 around the outside for free, losing contact with Kellison in the process.

The corner 1-4 complex eats up rubber and spits out the red machine.

Turn 30 summary:
Kennington runs the last of his tread off through the 60s at 80.
Pellegrino follows him, also shedding one wear.
Swaine needs P1 to avoid relegation. He plots 120 but there's no room for that move. A wear to brake to 100 and two more into the 40, where his tires just won't keep attached to the track and around he goes.
Rae is able to run right up to the corner at 160 with his big brakes to slow him next turn.

Schulz and Brown rub tires across the start/finish line as they drag race down the straight at 160.
Brandt turns up the heat at 180 to the delight of the main grandstands.
Polcen's 160 move brings him right behind that 3-wide.

Rando hits the gas hard for 160 and his engine responds, the bonus from Brandt bringing him into the chase pack.
Kellison and Haskell both save wear by taking the corner 16 racing line at speed.

Gaps develop up front while the gap in the back closes slightly.

Turn 31 summary:
Kennington's acceleration gets him to 140 on approach to corner 6.
Pellegrino can safely reach 120, the bonus keeping him on Kennington's wing.
Swaine gets pointed in the right direction and comes off the corner at 40.
Rae scrubs off one wear through the 60s at 80 and can see all three cars ahead of him.

Schulz and Brandt both plot 160 then late brake to 140. All the machinery stays intact on both cars.
The rest of the chase pack does 140 as the five cars move as one and face the upcoming combination of corners.
Kellison winds it up to 160 and gains a length on the pack.
Haskell lets his big engine loose at 180 and tucks in behind Kellison.

The dice (and the tires) are still cooling, but almost everyone gets to complete their moves.

Turn 32 summary:
Kennington tests his brakes to get to 60 and takes the racing line through corner 6.
Pellegrino was looking to follow but with an 80 plot he's forced around the outside for one wear.
Swaine pushes his acceleration to get to 100, still recovering from that spin.
Rae's big acceleration gets him to 160 and he covers the entire straight (and creeps up on the points leader).

(And the fun begins. Be sure to check your moves and wear. This was a challenge for your RM)
Schulz runs the 60s at 100 shedding two wear and avoiding any chaos that may ensue.
Brandt drops one wear at 80 through the 80s then the 60s.
Brown slows to 80. The only option he has to clear the corner is through the 100s to the 40 scrubbing off two wear.
Polcen plots 120 then uses one wear to get to 100. With nowhere to go he spends two wear in the 60s and forces his way past Brandt.

Rando was hoping to move before the black car as he also plots 120. His best course a naked dice roll to get to 100, attempt a forced pass in the 40 space against Brown, and finally two wear and a chance roll to pass through the 40 space. He was fine until the chance roll.
Kellison disposes of two wear in the first 80 space at 120.
Haskell also approaches the combination at 120 on the inside.

(Final wear counts for the turn are:
Polcen: 3
Brown: 2
Brandt: 1
Kellison: 2
Pellegrino: 1
Rando: 2
Schulz: 2
All dice rolls were 0 skill rolls)

Pellegrino continues to challenge to regain the lead.

Turn 33 summary:
Kennington takes the corner 8 line for free.
Pellegrino also does 120 into the outside lane to stay with the leader.
Rae dumps all his brakes into an 80 move shedding one wear around the corner 6 racing line.
Swaine follows him, also dropping one wear.

Schulz runs the straight at 140 to the line.
Polcen also maxes his acceleration to 160 and moves to the outside of Schulz.
Brandt comes off corner 4 at 160 and keeps in touch with the two in front of him.
Brown's acceleration brings him to 140, tucking in behind Brandt.

Rando gets back under way at 20.
Kellison continues his wear though the 40 space at 80, moving up one position.
Haskell is trapped in the outside lane at 80 scrubbing off one wear and forcing his way around Rando.

The lead and mid packs reform as we get half a lap from the finish.

Turn 34 summary:
Kennington enters corner 9 on the line at speed.
Pellegrino maintains position at 80 knowing he can keep pace next turn.
Rae comes across corner 8 on the line at 120.
Swaine goes big to close on Rae with two naked rolls.

Schulz covers the corner 6 line at 100 shedding two wear.
Polcen also puts away two wear through the 60s.
Brandt knocks off two wear on the line at 100 to challenge for P6.
Brown gets some good news on the radio (see note below) although he loses a length at 80 on the line.

Kellison shoots the straight at 140 and starts the line into the next corner.
Haskell is also at 140 using the slip to drop to the inside.
Rando pushes to 100 safely, keeping the two in front of him in sight.

Next deadline: turn 35 due Monday, April 20 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

NOTE: Due to a driver dropping out of C1 at the end of the season, there will only be two relegations to C3 at the end of the race. Good news for Chris Brown as long as he maintains P10 or better and Swaine doesn't pick up any more spots.

The corner 11/12 combination could decide several finishing postitions.

Turn 35 summary:
Kennington, Pellegrino, Rae and Swaine all funnel through corners 9 & 10 on the line for free.
Schulz starts the line into the same combination.
Polcen chooses to stay behind the light blue race car.
Brandt takes advantage of Polcen's move to finish inside and pick up P6.

Kellison sheds two wear around the corner 6 line at 100.
Haskell chooses a more conservative 80 move scrubbing off one wear.
Rando drops two wear to clear the corner on the line at 100.

Six cars within three car lengths of the lead.

Turn 36 summary:
Kennington, Pellegrino and Rae all hit the entrance to corner 11, Rae on the inside for P1.
Swaine sits right behind the current leader.
Schulz and Polcen both drop two wear on the corner 9/10 racing line, Polcen with a slip, and have the lead pack in sight.

Brandt slows to 80 to take the line for free.
Brown also conserves wear at 80 on the line.
Kellison takes the corner 8 line at 120 for free and catches the yellow machine.

Haskell maintains the gap to Kellison with a 120 on the line as well.
Rando comes off corner 6 at 120 and starts the line into corner 8.

As expected several position changes this turn. There will be more before this race is over.

Turn 37 summary:
Pellegrino retakes the lead, shedding one wear through the 60s/80 at 80.
Rae uses the inside advantage to follow through the 40/80 at 60 for one wear.
Kennington's bald tires require a 60 move through the 60s/80 but he does clear the corner.
Swaine, also with a fully worn car, runs the 60s at speed.

Polcen plots 120 looking to late brake into the 60s but that's not available. A naked roll plus one wear gets him to 80, dropping two more wear in the 40.
Schulz at 80 has nowhere to go but the first 60 space scrubbing off one wear.
Brandt covers the short straight at 120 and keeps to the middle.
Brown is locked at 80, finishing the corner 10 line and moving to the inside.

Kellison blasts around the corner 9/10 combination at 120 on the line, passing the yellow machine.
Haskell conserves his wear on the line at 80.
Rando was looking for that line at 120 but is forced outside at the same two-wear cost.
