The corner 13/14 complex draws half the field into a tight pack.

Turn 13 summary:
Brandt finishes corner 14 in the middle 80s and fades inside. Rae is able to take the inside of 14 at speed to keep up with the leader. Pellegrino also saves wear at 80 and clears the corner on the inside. Swaine finishes the line at 100 then brakes to 80 into the middle lane for free.

Polcen also finishes the line at 100 and pulls even with the red racecar. Kennington takes the outside of corner 11 at 100 shedding two wear. Brown drops two wear on the racing line at 100 and follows Swaine into the middle lane. Rando leaves two wear on the inner 40 of corner 11 and fits his car neatly infront of Kennington and inside of Swaine to pick up two spots.

Schulz and Haskell drag race to the corner at 120. Kellison stays outside at 140 and starts the line.

The majority of the pack is in or approaching the final corner complex of lap 1.

Turn 14 summary:

Rae gets the jump on the leader at 140 around the outside of corners 15/16 shedding two wear. Brandt chooses the inside at 100 also dropping two wear and retaining the lead. Pellegrino is more conservative with a one wear move into the 100s at 120. Polcen exits corner 14 at 100 for already paid wear and sets up in the middle lane.

Rando's 80 move isn't enough to keep up with Polcen, also finishing in the middle but two car lengths back. Swaine is able to move to the inside of corner 14 at 80 and tucks in behind Polcen, providing Rando with a slip opportunity next turn. Brown paid for a 100 move last turn and continues through the inner lane and pics up two spots on the inside. Kennington chooses to slow to 80 and takes the shortest route he can through the corner, finishing on the inside.

Kellison leaves two wear on the corner 11 racing line and another on the corner 13 outer 80s at 100. Haskell moves through the inner 40 at 60 knocking down one wear. Schulz uses all his brakes to get down to 40 and takes the inside lane around the corner for free.

Rae back into the lead. Rando picks up three positions.

Turn 15 summary:
Rae blasts out of the final corner and pushes his engine up to 180, choosing the outside lane to provide no slip next turn. Brandt maxes at 160 and holds the inside. Pellegrino continues the 100s at 120, wear already paid, and drops to the inside as well. Polcen holds a steady 100 around the outside for free.

Brown has the initiative at 100, shedding one wear in the 80s and temporarily grabbing P4. Swaine follows the black machine through the 100s at speed for free. Rando relies strictly on his split-second reaction to the cars ahead of him as he starts at 120 then brakes into the corner, careening inside at 100 and losing two wear but moving from P7 to P4. Kennington makes up a car length at 120 around the outside of the corner, scrubbing off one wear.

Kellison paid for 100mph last turn and completes the corner 13/14 combination. Haskell is able to take the inside of 13 and the middle of 14 to grab the wing of the silver race car. Schulz manages to clear the corner combo at 80 for free.

Brandt back into P1 after a one turn absence. The dice gods smile on the black car.

Turn 16 summary:

Rae slows to 140 and starts the corner 2 racing line. Brandt keeps the pedal down at 160 and takes the inside lane. Pellegrino grabs high gear and starts his second lap at 140. Polcen's engine man is quite unhappy as he rolls for acceleration and top speed, thankfully passing both. The crowd cheers his 180 move and he finishes on the outside after seeing how well it worked for Rae.

Rando and Brown drag race across the line at 160 each staying side-by-side. Swaine finishes out the 100s at speed and takes it to the inside. Kennington is able to pull even with Swaine as he comes off the corner at 120, wear already paid.

Kellison sheds one wear in the 80s at 100. Haskell drops two wear at 140 in the 100s in order to clear the corner. Schulz is into the 100s at 120 knocking off one wear.

The main straight fans are treated to some fast racing.

Turn 17 summary:
Brandt muscles his car around the inside of corner 2 at 100 for two wear. Rae slows to 80 on the racing line conserving rubber. Pellegrino holds his top speed and starts the line into corner 2. Polcen relaxes his engine back to 160 and threatens the inside of the corner, taking P3 in the process.

Rando maxes at 160 and follows Pellegrino onto the line. Brown matches Rando's move dropping to the inside and grabs the black car's wing. Swaine slams his car into high gear and hits the gas hard. His engine moans but holds as he gets to 180. Kennington is able to match Swaine's 180 without stressing his power plant.

In spite of the 180mph drag race, Haskell is the crowd favorite; managing 200mph from his engine he is able to pick up a length on the other big engines. Kellison uses his full acceleration to get to 160 but Haskell's move denies him the slip next turn. Schulz finishes out the 100s for already paid wear and moves to the inside.

13 wear points spent this turn. No positions change, a rare event.

Turn 18 summary:
Brandt runs into the corner 3 140s at top speed shedding one wear. Rae takes the 120s at speed for free. Polcen uses one wear to brake to 100 (nursing his already damaged brakes) and drops two wear through the 60 space of corner 2. Pellegrino leaves two wear on the corner 2 line at 120 and pulls alongside the black machine.

Rando surrenders one wear on the corner 2 line at 100. Brown hugs the inside of corner 2 at 80 scrubbing off one wear. Kennington gets the jump on Swaine with a 140 plot, then brakes onto the line for two wear. Swaine was looking for the line but with the dark blue race car there he hits the brakes and hears a disheartening clang and immediately knows he's in trouble. He take two wear off around the inside at 100.

Haskell approaches the corner on the line at 140. Kellison keeps the pedal down at 160 and grabs Haskell's tailpipe. Schulz maxes at 160 across the start/finish line.

Seven cars in the corner 3/4 complex and only one is clear.

Turn 19 summary:
Brandt finishes the corner through the 80 space at 100, wear already paid. Rae slows to 100 to clear the corner in the middle. Anyone who's radio is tuned to his frequency is wondering if they really heard “Mwah, ha ha ha!” on his radio. (Spoiler, they did!) Polcen is wise to Rae's move and although he could have cleared the corner through the middle, his anticipation takes him outside into the 120s at his max speed of 160, shedding two wear. Pellegrino was hoping for the 100s all the way but he's forced to start in the 120s then take up the 100 space behind Rae, dropping two wear.

Brown flies into the corner at 140 in the 100s for two wear. Rando feathers the gas up to 120 and stays in the middle lane for free. Swaine uses his full acceleration to get to 160, taking the 140s and knocking off one wear. Kennington follows Swaine around the 140s at speed.

Haskell conserves wear by taking the corner 2 racing line at 80. Kellison has to hit his brakes hard and they squeal off one wear as he follows the orange car through the corner at 80. Schulz approaches corner 2 on the line at 120.

Brandt tows a line into corner 5

Turn 20 summary:
Brandt holds a steady 100 into the corner on the line for free. Rae blasts down the short straightaway at 160 and grabs the line behind Brandt. Polcen has paid for a 160 move this turn, setting up on the line as well. Pelegrino completes the 100s at 140 for already paid wear and adds to the parade on the outside.

Brown bumps the gas to 160 around the corner 4 120 and is last in on the corner 5 party. Rando finishes the 120s all the way at speed and starts for the inside. Swaine continues his one wear through the 100s at 120 and ducks inside the bright green race car. Kennington slows to 100 and sheds one wear in the 80.

Haskell accelerates slightly to 100 into the 100s for free. Kellison looked for a slip at 120 but with Haskell at 100 he instead runs into the 120s for free. Schulz takes the corner 2 racing line at a conservative 80.

The front five scatter while P6-P8 run into corner 5 three wide.

Turn 21 summary:
Brandt is locked at 100 finishing corner 5 and starting the corner 6 line. Rae follows him through on the line then moves to middle. Polcen veers to the inside at 120 dropping two wear and taking over second place. Pellegrino takes the corner 5 line at 100. A slip keeps him in touch with the cars ahead.

Brown, unsure of what everyone will do, makes a right turn to the inside and follows Polcen around the corner at 100 shedding one wear. Swaine and Rando drag race down the straight at 140, Swaine starting the racing line, Rando hugging the curb. Kennington also does 140 off of corner 4 and gets a slip from Swaine. He slots himself in between the red and green race cars.

Haskell finishes the corner 3/4 combination at 100 in the 100s, saving wear. Kellison does the same but Haskell moving to the inside prevents a slip situation. Schulz drives hard into the 120s at 160 scrubbing off two wear but making up a little ground.

Brown makes up a length on Rae by following him into the corner at 100 for one wear. Swaine is first around corner 5 at 100 on the line and moves to the middle lane. Rando uses the inside 80 at speed to keep inside of Swaine. Kennington also goes to the inside of the corner at 80 and keeps it three wide on the outside.

Haskell starts the line into corner 5 at 140. Kellison comes off corner 4 at 160 and takes the inside approach to the corner. Schulz continues through the 120s at 160 for already paid wear and finishes inside.
