Ales gets a small gap on the field but at a cost. Can he hold it?

Turn 29 summary:
Ales drops one wear on the racing line and clears the corner.
Swaine takes the 100 for free and starts the line two lengths behind the leader.
Mossman also takes the two 100s at speed and is on the line behind the red machine.
Blizzard matches the field's 100 moves with one of his own but can't get into a slip position to finish.

Next deadline: turn 30 due Friday, Jul 5 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Only half a lap to go. For those that haven't done the math, the leader of this lap will also be the champion (with the exception of Blizzard, sorry Dave).

Turn 30 summary:

Ales covers the short chute at 140 and prepares for the next line.
Swaine drops one wear on the line and moves to the inside to deny any slip.
Mossman also sheds one wear on the line.
Blizzard is saving for a late lap charge as he takes the line at 80 for free.

Will anyone make a big, bold move? And when?

Turn 31 summary:
Ales, Swaine and Mossman all shed one wear on the racing line; Ales and Swaine clearing the corner.

Blizzard starts the line at 140.

A move from the back as Blizzard shows he's still around.

Turn 32 summary:
Ales starts the Epingle outside line at 160.
Swaine also does 160 to keep pace on the inside.
Mossman completes the racing line at 120 for already paid wear.
Blizzard hits the line at 160. Two wear and a two skill chance roll later he's in P3.

The dice gods giveth, and the dice gods taketh away.

Turn 33 summary:
Ales sheds two wear on the outer racing line then drops to the inside.
Swaine spends his big skill chip on the chance table and is able to clear the corner with two wear and a successful roll.
Blizzard, on the other hand, throws his final skill at the chance table and it throws it right back at him. He has no choice but to move 60 next turn with no lane change possible.
Which is a bane to Mossman who approached the corner at 140 this turn but will not have the line available for use next turn. Also, because of the way the track is drawn, he cannot change lanes either.

The dice gods smile on one and frown on one.

Turn 34 summary:
Ales continues down Droit du Casino at 160.
Mossman slams the gas and ask his engine to get going hard. Instead it comes apart and he's left on the side of the track with a smoldering mess.
Blizzard picks up with 60 around the 60s.
Mossman makes his only available move, dropping two wear on the 60s as he completes a forced pass on Blizzard.

Gentlemen,
The only possible pass remaining is Blizzard on Mossman, and it would take two successful naked chance rolls to do so. Also, it would have no effect on the overall point standings. So I am going to call it a race. There is a post-race comments forum at Redscape. I would appreciate it if you each would post your comments, as I will also do.

Thank you for participating. I hope all enjoyed it.
