The field is back under green.

Turn 14 summary:
Blizzard pushes his damaged engine to 120 and it holds. He starts the line into Senna. Coyle is NPR, his move is 100 onto the line behind Blizzard.

Swaine also pushes to 120 but with the line occupied he hugs the curb. Mossman at 100 joins the racing line behind the green racecar.

Ales does 100 and finishes inside Mossman to take P5.

Next deadline: turn 15 due Friday, May 31 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

NOTE: turn 16 will have a soft deadline of 12noon EDT on Monday, June 3 as I will be leaving town at 1pm EDT and will be nowhere near civilization for the remainder of the day and night. Please try to get your moves in by then. If not, the hard deadline will still be 4pm EDT and I will adjudicate Tuesday morning when I return.

The pack strings out through the first two corners.

Turn 15 summary:
Swaine sheds two wear at 100 around the esses 60s and racing line. Blizzard regains his lap lead with a 100 move around the racing line and 80 for a total of three wear.

Coyle slows to 80 and takes the racing line for one wear and the 80 for free. Ales gets the initiative at 100 and scrubs off two wear in the 60s finishing on the end of the first line. Mossman anticipates the line being blocked and slows to 80 around the 60s leaving one wear behind.

Next deadline: turn 16 due Monday, June 3 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Deadline note: I have rearranged things so I can adjudicate at 4pm, this will be 4pm SHARP. If I get all moves before then I will probably put the turn out a little early.

The pack is strung out for now, but the tight section of the track promises to bunch things back up.

Turn 16 summary:
Blizzard maxes his crippled engine at 140. Swaine sees an opportunity and goes for it. A one skill acceleration roll and one skill top speed roll both succeed and he finds himself in the lead.

Coyle comes off the Esses at 140 and keeps to the inside. Ales finishes the Senna S in the 80 at 100 shedding one wear. Mossman is able to take the line at 100 for free and stays on Ales' wing.

Blizzard is determined to regain the lead, and he does. However, according to ex-football coach Jerry Glanville, NFL. (Not For Long)

Turn 17 summary:
Swaine runs into the corner 100s at 120 shedding one wear. Blizzard goes for the lead on the inside at 140 for two wear and his big three skill chip. A modified 7 later he's staring at the infield.

Coyle is NPR for the fourth time and is disqualified by rule.

Ales gets up to 160 down the straightaway. Mossman also hits 160 and gets a slip from Ales to pull even with him.

Things tighten up but still no side-by-side battles

Turn 18 summary:
Swaine finishes the 100s for already paid wear and sticks to the inside. Blizzard recovers from his spin at 60.

Ales sheds two wear in the 100s at 140, while Mossman follows in Ales' tire tracks for one wear.

Things tighten up as the field enters the tight section of the track.

Turn 19 summary:

Swaine slows to 120 around the inside of Laranjinha. Blizzard pushes his already damaged engine to get him to 140 and succeeds. He takes the outside lane for free.

Ales tries for 160 but has to late brake to 140 to take the inside lane for one wear. Mossman follows up at 140 tucking in behind Blizzard.

The die roll comes out for non-inversion for lap 3. The grid will be set in descending order of RROC points (the white chart on the top-right).

turn 20 summary:
Swaine unloads two wear in the inner 40 and another in the 60s virtually assuring he will finish first this lap. Ales drops his last two wear in the inner 40 at 80.

Blizzard also plots 80 into the inner 40 choosing to use one wear and make a naked chance roll. Eight dice pips later he's a purple blur as he spins through the corner. Mossman sheds two wear at 80mph but is forced to the outside to avoid the spinning machine.

Blizzard recovers from his spin but with an apparent mis-plot.

Turn 21 summary:
Swaine scrubs off the remaining tread on his tires as he hits the 40 of Bico de Pato at 60.
Ales slows to 60 as he's already on bald tires.
Blizzard gets heading in the right direction but at only 40 (could have plotted 60).
Mossman is again forced to the outside of the corner but this time he picks up P3.

The chase pack tightens preparing for the final corner.

Turn 22 summary:
Swaine runs up to the final corner at 120 and starts the line.
Ales slows to 40 around the inside of the duck bill.
Mossman continues at 80 and takes the outside of the corner for one wear.
Blizzard accelerates to 60 and has to decide which of the final two corners to spend his remaining wear.

P2-P4 are about to tighten up for a drag race to the line.

Turn 23 summary:
Swaine runs the final corner racing line at 100 for free and moves inside.
Ales tests his acceleration with 2 skill and starts the line into Juncao.
Mossman continues the 60s at 80 for already paid wear.
Blizzard passes a naked chance roll to take the 60s at 80 and stay on Mossman's tail.

Turn 24 summary:
Swaine rounds the final kink and has the s/f line in sight.
Ales slows to 100 and navigates the final corner on his bare tires.
Mossman drops his final two wear in the corner at 140 and tucks in behind Ales.
Blizzard gets a slip from Mossman and is able to clear the corner at 100.

Next deadline: turn 25 due Monday, Jun 24 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Two notes:
1) Ales' skill on the chart was confused. It has been corrected. He still has one wildcard skill remaining.
2) If you already know what your activity will be at the end of the lap let me know. If you want to see how the lap plays out first that's ok, but I would appreciate you letting me know as soon as you have made your decision.

Swaine seals the deal. Mossman make a big move to pick up two points.

Turn 25 summary:
Swaine glides across the line at 160 for the lap win and 9 points which puts him into a tie with Ales for the championship.
Ales does 140 in an attempt to keep Mossman at bay in the final kink.
Mossman, however, anticipates Ales' move. He first gets to 180 using one skill then completes a two skill forced pass to take over P2.
Blizzard comes off the final corner at his 140 top speed.

Next deadline: turn 26 due Wednesday, Jun 26 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Notes:
Ales holds the tiebreaker. Assuming Mossman and Ales finish in their present positions, Ales will start lap 3 on the inside, Swaine on the outside.

Still need between lap activity, if any, from Justin and Tim.

Lap 2 comes to a close.

Turn 26 summary:
Mossman lets his engine relax back to 160 for P2.
Ales does 160 and gets the slip to finish side-by-side.
Blizzard glides his injured power plant to a fourth place lap finish.

Set up for lap 3:
Ales and Swaine have no changes.
Mossman trades one skill for one wear. (moves to rear of field)
Blizzard's team successfully repairs his engine (1). (moves to rear of field)
Net result, grid is still set as originally by points.

Remember this track has the altered corner rule: you MAY accelerate in a corner as long as it does not increase your penalty IN THE NEXT SPACE ENTERED.

All cars at 40 mph and ready to decide this showdown.

One last note, in the event of a points tie, the chart on the map is accurate. That is, whoever shows on top in on top.

Next deadline: turn 27 due Friday, Jun 28 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

Good luck all!!!!

Lap 3 begins with two drivers pushing the start and only one succeeding.

Turn 27 summary:
Ales uses two skill to get to 120 then sheds two wear in the middle lane.
Swaine also pushes with one skill but the dice gods are unkind to him this turn . He follows Ales in the middle lane.
Mossman holds P3 on the inside at 100.
Blizzard keeps side-by-side with Mossman at 100 in the middle lane.

(Note: Even under the new rule, no driver may accelerate this turn. You may always maintain and change lanes even if it increases your penalty.)

Ales gets a slight gap while everyone else falls in line.

Turn 28 summary:
Ales continues at 120 with wear already paid in the first corner and spending another in the next corner 100.
Swaine is able to clear the second corner at 100 after finishing the 80s behind Ales.
Mossman drops into the 80s to finish the first corner for one wear.
Blizzard also finishes the 80s but he does so at 80 for free.
