Two more positions settled, but the rest still up for grabs.

Turn 39 summary:
Pellegrino slides across the line at 120, managing his damaged engine to a 2nd place finish. Kellison finishes the final corner at 140 for already paid wear and comes across the line just behind the purple machine. Schulz drops one of his remaining wear in the corner 15 80 at 100 and sets up on the corner 16 racing line. Rando steps hard on his already weakened brakes but they do the job enabling him to run the corner 15 racing line at 100. He drops to the inside with Schulz on the next line.

Brown follows Rando across the racing line and tucks in behind Schulz for the next line. Haskell follows in the yellow race car's tire tracks all the way. Rae gets off corner 10 alone as planned at 140 taking the corner 13 line for free. Kennington and Brandt both accelerate to 120 to finish corner 10 and both take the inside in 13 for free.

Next deadline: Turn 40 due Monday, Jul 29 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC (soft), Wednesday, Jul 31 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC (hard)

The mid-pack clears the final corner and will race for the next fours spots.

Turn 40 summary:
Schulz rounds the racing line at 100 and starts for the inside. Rando slows to 80 around the 80s for free and slides to the outside. That blocks Brown's bid for the line. He makes a two skill late brake roll and runs the outside of the corner shedding his final wear in the 80. Haskell starts far enough back to take the line at speed and pull even with Brown.

Rae's 100 move lets him take the corner 15 line for free and start the line into the final corner. Kennington likewise takes the 15 line at 100. Brandt was looking for an opening at 120 but, finding none, he keeps on Kennington's wing around the outside, dropping one wear.

Next deadline: turn 41 due Wednesday, Jul 31 at 4pm EDT/8pm UTC

No surprise Kellison was fastest through sector 2

Six dice rolls but a single failure means only one position change at the finish line!

Turn 41 summary:
Schulz pushes his already damaged engine to get to 140. Rando also pushes to 160 but is only able to pull even with Schulz. Brown and Haskell both push with all they have, but Brown's engine rattles and starts to come apart while Haskell's responds to his command. Haskell is now at 200mph and able to fly past both Schulz and Rando into P4.

Brown, now at 180, catches the two in front but is unable to pass. Rae comes through the final corner at 100 on the racing line.

Kennington follows Rae on the line and is able to clear the corner. Brandt settles in behind the dark blue machine.

With no position changes possible, we auto the race to the finish.

Turn 42 summary:
Rae tromps the gas across the line to the cheers of the crowd as he reaches 180mph. Kennington slides across the line at 140 to take the two points for P9. Brandt finishes the corner at 100.

Turn 43 summary:
Brandt settles for the lone point in P10. But you never know how important one point may be at the end of the season.

Polcen had a huge lead at the finish. He, Kellison and Haskell dominated the last lap.
