The title is a bit of a misnomer but it is the one often used for such a system. Our FAAB would ONLY apply to waived players, not free agents.

Amendment: Replace the current waiver system for priority on waived player acquisition. This will be replaced with a fixed budget that will be used to bid on waived players.

1. Budget = $100.
2. Bidding is blind.
3. Increments of $1.
4. Zero bids accepted.
5. Tie-breaks determined by record with worse record having priority.

Any of the details above an be changed so suggest some tweaks if you have them. I think the waiver period should be the same - minimum of 48 hours with a fixed resolution time of 4 a.m. EST. Also, like now, waiver acquisitions will count against your acquisition budget.

We have so few waiver claims in any given season, that I can't see this as being in any way worth the trouble of implementing or learning.

We've had 27 waiver acquisitions this season. You might be right about how many of them are competitive, i.e. those with more than one claim involved. But those are the most important.

It's not a hard system. We've been using it in the RFL for many years without issue.
