The leaders lead, the first chase pack goes three-wide, and the big pack in the back has to skirt a reckless chaser.

Turn 12 Summary

Peeples drops down to 120 yet still burns another wear in the 80's to maintain the lead. Simmerman runs the outer rail in Virage Senna at 120 for a wear.

Harrington, Hoyt, and Burnett race into Senna at 120. Burnett is able to pull even with the bonus.

Scarpino has initiative at 100, dropping a wear on the Wall of Champions line. Weisen clips a tire in the Wall and takes an inside position.

Harley takes the bull by the horn and gets the initiative at 140. He late brakes to 120 with a wear before rocketing into the chicane in the first 60 spot. He burns 2 tires and goes to the dice cup with a naked chance roll (unmodified 7). The car spins out of control, blocking the line for the rest of the pack.

Lind plotted 120 but with no line, brakes down to 100 to avoid a chance roll (1 wear). He scrapes off 2 more tires in the Wall before grabbing the bumper of the #2. Bernhardt takes the spun car in stride and skirts it easily at 80 for a wear.

Ingraham plays is smartly at 100, tossing off 2 wear in the chicane. Bertaiola over brakes to 100 for a wear then deposits 2 more as he navigates around the spun offender. By virtue of having his personal default page filled out, he moves up a few positions with the slipstream.

There are some very interesting meta-battles going on. Burnett is now challenging Simmerman for the C4 championship while Peeples, Hoyt, and Harrington are vying for the 4th and final spot to advance to C3 next season. Barring catastrophe, Simmerman, Burnett, and Ingraham will advance though there is much racing left to do.

As for the race, will the weaker cars in front be able to hold off the bigger engines & better braked racers coming up behind them?

Turn 13 Summary

Peeples runs the Corner 3/4 complex for free at 100. Simmerman is through Corner 3 at 100.

Burnett makes a big move with initiative at 120. He careens around the inner rail of Virage Senna with 2 wear and his last skill chips on the chance table (modified 6). He barely keeps the car on the pavement but hangs on to enter C3 for another wear.

Harrington and Hoyt take turns in the Senna 80's at 100 for a wear each as they continue the side-by-side racing.

Scarpino rolls into the Senna 100's at 120 for a wear. Weisen tucks in behind the #2 at 120.

Lind drops a tire as he pulls even with the Miller Lite car via the bonus. Bertaiola enters Senna at 120.

Bernhardt creates a three-wide at the mouth of the big Senna corner, running at 120 and with the extra space. At 120, Ingraham sits outside of the Senna.

Harley recovers from his spin at 60.

The big chase pack gets knotted up coming out of Virage Senna...

Turn 14 Summary

Peeples runs the Pont de la Concorde on the line at 100 for a wear. Simmerman does the same to stay two spaces back.

Burnett leaves some rubber on the pavement, dropping one tire in C4 and two more on the Concorde line at 120.

Harrington, at 120, takes the C3 120's before tossing a wear in the C4 100. Hoyt, also at 120, reverses the pattern with one wear in C3 and the 120's in C4.

Scarpino continues on the outer rail of Senna at 120, wear already paid. Lind drops to 80 on the inside rail, wear also already paid.

Weisen burns a wear in the Senna 80's at 100. Bertaiola does the same to stay even with the orange machine.

Bernhardt settles for the outer lane at 100 for free. Ingraham has no place to go at 120 so he late brakes to 100 w/ 1s (modified 9 - oooh, close). He runs the Senna 80's for a wear and moves back into the points.

Harley runs into Virage Senna at 120.

No changes to position as the cars wend their ways through the narrow section of the race track.

Turn 15 Summary

Peeples rolls into Corner 8 at 120 for a wear. Simmerman ever mindful of his thin brake pads, hits the short straight at 120. Burnett eschews the 140 potential* and at 120 finds himself a bumper to ride.

Harrington runs the Pont de la Concorde on the line at 100 for a wear. Hoyt, also at 100, must take the scenic route for a wear.

Scarpino, at 120, clips two tires in the C 3/4 complex then grabs the Concorde line. Lind pulls up on his tailpipe at 100.

Weisen, at 100, efficiently runs the C 3/4 complex for free. Bertaiola, also at 100, gets pushed out into the 120's in C4.

Ingraham takes C3 at 120 for free on the outer rail. Bernhardt takes the inner rail for free at 100 and the two cars flip track sides but maintain relative position.

Harley cruises around the Senna corner at 100 on the outside.

* It was possible to increase speed to 140 as the speed limit increases within the corner.

Slow traffic and an NPR cause some congestion in the back.

Turn 16 Summary

Ingraham, at 100, burns off some speed in the C4 120's before dropping a wear on the Concorde line. Bernhardt also plots 100 but has nowhere to put his car. He burns off some of this speed in the C4 120's with the rest coming off via wear. He's sitting on the Concorde line.

Harley brings up the rear at 100.

Lind pushes w/ 2s to get initiative at 160 (modified 5). He dives into C8 on the line for 2 wear and a chance roll w/ 2s (modified 9). The skill prevented a crash but did leave the car spinning in the middle of the track.
