I would encourage anyone who has not played ftf to give it a go. Here is a place to start:

http://thenadf.org/home

There is a North American Championship this year in VT. If you want more info, post here or pm me.

Also, the World Diplomacy Championship returns to North America next year in Chicago. This year it was in Australia.

Tournaments are a lot of fun. It's fairly intense, but you get to meet a lot of great folks from around the world . . . and stab them!

Honestly, if you've not played the game ftf, you've not played the game. PBEM is fine, but it is cushy and relaxed. Some call it a variant and I'm not sure they're wrong. It is a very different game.

LOL Fred! He stabs you then makes you feel guilty for putting him in a position to stab you.

Maybe next summer... maybe.

I cannot say enough about the PTKS guys. Even if they are 75% liberal fringe, they're a great group of guys.

For Vermont? I have been in contact with the Diplomacy guy and will write him again. I always like to register in advance and noticed that was missing. Rooms are the issue in VT.

If you guys ever find yourself in Shanghai, I got a bunch of teachers and students willing to play FTF.
