For some reason I am locked out of the Advent of Rewritten History. I just have a couple of comments. Not one of my favorite variants; I only really tend to like colonial type variants and that is about it. For one thing, I have the original diplomacy map memorized or pictured in my head and I find it tedious to look at a new map. One other comment is about my supposed lack of communication. Steve did not write at all except for Fall 1901 and we were able to work out a deal from that turn. Aside from that nothing--I had the distinct impression that he had little interest in working with me. Now, Tom says I did not write. So i went and looked at my emails: (1) I received emails from Tom on 3-17, 3-22, 3-24, 3-26, 3-27, 4-1, 4-2, 4-2, 4-2, 4-3, 4-3, 4-5, 4-6, 4-8, 4-9, 4-9, 4-9 and 4-11; (2)during that same time period to Tom I sent emails on 3-14, 3-15, 3-22, 4-1, 4-1, 4-2, 4-2, 4-3, 4-5, 4-8, 4-9, and 4-9 (the turn when Tom attacked me was shortly after 4-9, may have been that day). I have a couple of baseball drafts in late March and there was a slowdown during that period but I had been writing regularly before that period and I started writing regularly after. I just think that once Steve started to write Tom was more comfortable with him (perhaps because of prior games, whatever), but I don't think it was because of al lack of correspondence.
