The first few spots are sewn up while the battles continue in the chase pack.

Turn 32 Summary

Simmerman runs C11 and C12 for free at 120 (line; 120).

Burnett drops his last 2 wear at 100 through the C9/10 complex. He enters C11 on the line, though he could've finished the corner on the inside (this won't make a difference - 2nd place is a lock). Harley wends his way through the complex at 60 for free.

Ingraham knocks down 2 wear at 80 in the C8 40 before contributing another in C9/10. Scarpino slows to 60, taking the C8 line for free. Hoyt burns a tire on the C8 line then moves to the outer rail.

Weisen gets initiative at 140 then late brakes to 120 with a wear. He has the C8 line. Harrington, at 120 and with no alternative to the line submitted, takes the inner rail as a default.

Peeples inches his car up to 100 and stays behind the orange machine with the bonus. Lind finishes out C7 at 80.

This turn has the good, the bad, & the ugly...

Turn 33 Summary

Simmerman rockets into the final corner at 160. Burnett finishes out C11 at 100 and rolls through C12 (could've gone 120 up to corner speed but it still won't matter).

Harley runs the C11 line at 120 for free. Ingraham finishes out C9/10 at 80 and clears C11.

Scarpino takes an RM plot of 60 which puts him in the outer lane in C10. Hoyt, at 100, has to drop 2 tires in the C9/10 complex.

Harrington burns a tire at 60 through C8. Weisen, also at 60, runs the C8 line for free but gets bumped to the outer rail.

Peeples plots 100 but does not anticipate a blocked track. His defaults, however, instruct a forced pass (naked 7). After dropping 2 wear in C8, he clips 2 more in the C9/10 complex and is able to move up through the field.

Lind takes an RM plot of 80.

So... what's good, what's bad, and what's ugly?!

Nothing that will lead to infamy this turn...

Turn 34 Summary

Simmerman finishes out the big oval at 160. In sight of the checkered flag, he will hear the grandstand cheers next turn.

Burnett rolls into C13 at 160 on the outer line for free. A few more game turns to the finish but no one is threatening him for 2nd place.

Harley runs C12 at 120 for free and takes inside position. Ingraham accelerates to 140, taking C12 for free through the 140's. There may be a shootout for third, advantage to the yellow Chevy.

Hoyt burns his last tire at 120 through the inside of C11 before rounding C12. He should be home in two turns.

Scarpino draws another RM plot. This one puts him on the outer rail of C11 at 80. The crew chief for the #2 car is not happy.

Peeples finishes out the C9/10 complex at 100 before rounding C11 for free.

Harrington snakes through the C9/10 complex at 60 for free. Weisen, at 100, takes the outside track in the complex for a wear but has no access to the C11 line.

Lind converts dice into wear at 80 through the C8 60's. He puts one SP on the chance roll (modified 4).

Simmerman gets the checkered flag for his first Redscape win!

Turn 35 Summary

Simmerman rolls across the S/F line at 160. Congratulations! Burnett finishes out C13 at 160 and will cross for 2nd next turn.

Harley takes the big oval on the inside line at 120 for free. Ingraham drops the hammer to 180 to burn his last tire on the outside line. I suspect there will be some dice rolling for 3rd...

Hoyt runs the big oval at 160 for free. Peeples takes the C12 120 for free.

Scarpino continues at 80 (could've gone 120) and by doing so blocks up the inside of C12.

Weisen clips a tire in the C11 100 before getting bumped out to the 140's in C12. Harrington runs the C11 line at 120 and can't clear C12 with the #2 occupying the exit lane.

Lind, at 80 through the C9/10 60's, goes to the dice again with his big chip (modified 6). A wise use of skill lets him keep the car on the track in one piece.

I won't be able to adjudicate on time tomorrow and with all plots in, here we go...

Turn 36 Summary

Burnett rolls across the finish line in 2nd place. Congratulations!

At 180, Harley takes his last skill chip to the dice cup (modified 11). Boxcars... ouch! He has to settle for 4th. Ingraham drops the hammer to 200 with his last 2 chips (modified 6) and makes the roll easily to nab the final podium spot.

Hoyt finishes out the big oval at 160 and pushes his nose across the line for 5th. Peeples rounds C13 at 120 on the inside line and will cross next turn.

Weisen rolls into C13 at 160 on the middle line, using up his last bit of rubber. Scarpino tucks in behind the orange machine at 140.

Harrington increases speed up to the corner limit but without instructions on where to go, he takes the inside lane default and misses all the lines.

Lind takes C11 and C12 in succession at 120 for free.

Turn 37 Deadline: Friday, December 14th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)

I'll try to adjudicate as soon as I get the remaining five plots in. I can't quite auto-finish the race as there may still be some dice rolling to come.

One more across the line. I will only need plots from Weisen and Scarpino for the next turn so I will adjudicate as soon as I get them. I can auto-pilot Harrington and Lind.

Turn 37 Summary

Peeples takes 6th place after pushing to 160 (naked 6). Nice recovery after damaging your brakes in that disastrous turn 3!

Weisen finishes out the big oval at 160. Scarpino burns his last wear at 160 in C13 and stays on the tailpipe of the Whataburger car. To push or not to push... that is the question.

Harrington takes the inside for 100, leaving a wear on the table. Lind rolls into the big oval at 160 for free.

Turn 38 Deadline: As soon as I get the aforementioned two plots.

That's a wrap! Thanks for racing and we'll see you up north in Montreal along with 2 new drivers.

Turn 38 Summary

Scarpino wins the game theory exercise and takes 7th. Here were the possible combos, assuming successful pushes:

Weisen 160, Scarpino 180 (Weisen)
Weisen 160, Scarpino 200 (Scarpino)
Weisen 180, Scarpino 180 (Scarpino)
Weisen 180, Scarpino 200 (Weisen)

We ended up with the 2nd combo after Scarpino put 2 skill into the dice cup (modified 5). An exciting battle!

Harrington crosses the line in 9th at 160. Lind finishes out the big oval at 160.

Turn 39

Lind crosses for 10th at 160.

I forgot to adjust the race points for Weisen & Scarpino.
