The lead shrinks by a length and a bold move succeeds.

Turn 14 summary:
Mossman runs corner 4 on the inside at 80 for free. Ales and Incorpora stay in line through the green racing line at 100 each shedding one wear. Orlandi drives hard into corner 1 on the green line at 140 scrubbing off two wear and throwing two skill to the chance roll (modified 6). His tires complain but they hold and he gets clear of Kellison.

Kellison slows to 120 and takes up the line behind the screaming machine of Orlandi. Bauska maxes his engine to 160 and starts the green line. (How will his damaged brakes handle the next turn?) Kennington slows just slightly to 180 and drops inside Bauska on the red racing line. Miller keeps the pedal down at 160 and positions himself for access to either line next turn.

Collins back his engine off to its rated maximum of 140 keeping inside. Blizzard and Brown finish the outer racing line at 180 for already paid wear and drop inside. Brandt drops two wear on the inner racing line at 160 and now sits just two car lengths behind Brown.

Damaged brakes near the front and two chase packs form.

Turn 15 summary:

Mossman holds his lead steady as he clears corner 6 on the racing line. Ales brakes hard into corner 4 and the spectators in the area are treated to a dull thud and puff of smoke as his brakes hold but not without damage (naked 10). Incorpora runs the inner 80 around 4 shedding a wear and pulling even with Ales. Orlandi finishes the green racing line and prepares to attack the tight corner.

Kellison drops to 80mph to traverse the green racing line for free. Bauska plots 140 for the initiative then spends one wear to late brake, going through the green line at 120 for two more wear. Kennington makes a similar move all at 20mph slower, plotting 120 and late braking to 100 (naked 6), shedding two wear on the red line. Miller runs the green line at 120 scrubbing off two wear.

Collins slows slightly to 120 and starts the green line through corner 1. Blizzard plots 140 and follows Collins on the line. Brown makes a move at 160 to move up one position on the inside of the purple machine. Brandt keeps a steady 160 to start the red line (although he can safely shift to the green line next turn if he wishes).

A move for P2 while the chase pack gets a bit addled.

Turn 16 summary:
Mossman drops two wear in the corner 7 60s to clear the corner. Incorpora makes a big run through corner 6 at 120 shedding two wear and moving cleanly into second place. Ales slows to 80 taking the line for free. Orlandi sheds one wear in the corner 4 inner 80 at 100 and starts the line behind Ales.

Bauska uses a 100 move to gain the advantage on Kellison, using the inner 80 at a cost of one wear. Kellison preserves some rubber as he rounds the inside at 80. Kennington slows to 80 and prepares to follow the silver machine through the corner. Miller jumps up beside Kennington with a 100 plot.

Collins runs the green line at 100 scrubbing off one wear. Blizzard's 120 plot moves him through the green line for two wear and gives him the last point position. Brown leaves two wear points on the red line at 100 but has to burn speed around the outside of corner 2. Brandt follows the others through the green line at 100 paying one wear for his effort.

Some jostling as the field makes its way through corners 4 through 7

Turn 17 summary:
Mossman devours the straightaway with one 140 move and starts the corner 8 line. Incorpora slows to 80 shedding one wear in the 60s then moving outside to attempt to deny Ales a slip next turn. Ales runs the 60s at 100 dropping two wear and looks for the slip that doesn't materialize. Orlandi slides around the corner 6 line then squeals two wear off his tires in the 40 space.

Bauska takes the racing line at a conservative 80. Kellison, also at 80, starts the line behind Bauska. Miller get the initiative with a 100 move through the inner 80 for one wear and picks up a second position by finishing inside of the silver machine. Kennington holds steady at 80 rounding the inside of corner 4 and picking up the line behind Kellison.

Collins scrubs off one wear in the inner 80 at 100 and keeps to the inside. Blizzard saves wear taking the inner 80 at speed and grabbing Collins' wing. Brown uses one wear in the inner 80 at 100 and pulls even with Blizzard. Brandt gets to the approach to the corner at 100.

The back 8 continue to snake through the corners 5, 6 & 7 complex with a few changes of plans as they go.

Turn 19 summary:
Mossman runs corners 8 & 9/10 all at once dropping two wear in each. Incorpora grabs the line in front of corner 8. Ales runs up inside the black machine at 140 to once again swap positions. Orlandi leaves corner 7 at 120 and sits just two car lengths behind his countrymen.

Bauska slows to 60 and scrubs off one wear in the corner 7 40. Miller has designs on that 40 space but with Bauska there he swings wide around the 80s for free. Kellison has the racing line in his favor and his 80 move allows him to squeeze between Miller and Bauska. Kennington follows the silver car through the line for free.

Collins tries for 100 but there's no room for that, so a one wear late brake lets him run the line for no additional wear. Brown holds his speed at 100 but Collins' move forces him out into the 80s shedding one wear. Blizzard takes a conservative 80 plot but finds the racing line available and he picks up a position for free. Brandt steps around the corner 4 inner 80 at 100 surrendering one wear and starts the line behind Blizzard.

Eight out of twelve drivers used wear this turn, all safely.

Turn 19 summary:
Mossman shoots the Corner 11 racing line for free and sets up for maximum flexibility next turn. Ales scrubs off half of his remaining wear, two points in each corners' 60s at 100. Incorpora takes the racing line for two wear then drops another in the 9/10 80s. Orlandi surrenders one wear on the corner 8 racing line.

Bauska shoots out of 7 and down the straightaway, pumping his damaged binders to make sure he has them next turn. Kellison is the first of a group to take the corner 7 60s. He does so at 80 shedding one wear. Miller slows to 60 and leaves one wear in the 40 space. Kennington preserves some wear at 60 through the 60s.

Collins also slows to 60 and hits the 40 space trading one wear for P8. Brown takes the only path his 80 move will allow at a cost of one wear in the 60s. Blizzard does a cautious 60 and the move pays off with the 40 space available for the use of one wear. Brandt runs the corner 6 line for free at 80 and looked for the 40 but has to settle for the outside lane.

6th-12th all in the back straightaway

Turn 20 summary:
Mossman takes the corner 12 140s at speed and sets up for the final corner on the middle line. Ales continues the 60s in corner 10 for already paid wear then clears 11 through the 100. Incorpora also paid to finish corner 10 in the 80s and takes the 100 behind Ales. Orlandi is in the ideal spot to run the turn 9/10 combination at 60 preserving his tires.

Bauska scrapes two wear off on the racing line at 100. Kellison grabs that same line at 100. Miller approaches at 120 looking for the line but instead has to slide inside of the silver machine. Collins uses all of his acceleration to get to 100 finishing in position to take the line next turn.

Blizzard comes out of corner 7 at 120 and also positions for the line next turn. Kennington is distracted by Siri and hits the gas but he's still in 2nd gear. Brown finishes the 60s, wear already paid, and takes a position behind Kennington. Brandt saves his pack-leading wear total by slowing to 60 around the corner 7 60s.

Some big gaps and some big groups

Turn 21 summary:
Mossman eases around the middle line at 140 for free. Ales moves 120 around the inside of corner 12 and sticks to the curb. Incorpora rides in Ales' wake getting a slip then heads to the middle of the track. Orlandi drops one wear in the corner 11 100 at 120 and clears corner 12, preparing to attack the short straight.

Bauska runs the 60s through 9/10 for one wear. Miller's inside position lets him move first into corner 8. He sheds one wear in the 40 at 60 and finishes inside. Kellison, also at 60, glides around the racing line and takes up the outside position before the corner. Blizzard sacrifices two wear for the initiative around the 60s at 100.

Collins rides the racing line at 80 scrubbing off one wear and exchanging positions with Blizzard. Kennington leaves one wear on the corner 8 racing line at 80. Brown keeps a steady 80 starting the line behind Kennington. Brandt flies the straightaway at 120 and ducks inside of Brown as they also swap positions.

The tail end of the field tip-toes through corners 8-10 safely but not without some last minute changes in plans.

Turn 22 summary:
Mossman keeps at his top speed of 140 and takes the white flag. Incorpora gets the initiative at 140 rounding the middle racing line for free. Ales does 120 but by taking the inside racing line he retains P2. Orlandi lets his big engine loose at 180 burning one wear in the outer racing line.

Bauska puts corners 11 & 12 behind him at 120 shedding one wear in the 100 space. Miller babys the throttle to 80 covering in the 60s and grabbing the next line. Kellison keeps a steady 60 taking the 80s and then the 60 space for free. Collins hits the 9/10 combination hard at 100 wanting 60s all the way through but has to jump outside to finish the corners.

Blizzard also looked for the 60s at 80 and finds only the first one available, finishing in the 80s. Kennington had designs on following Blizzard through the 60s but instead follows him around the outside of corner 10. Brandt has the inside advantage and runs the 60s scrubbing off one wear. He finishes inside. Brown, also at 80, scoots across the line and bounces to the outside edging into P11.

A bold move and what has been, until now, a rare slip.

Turn 23 summary:
Mossman holds a steady 140 as he approaches corner 1 on the green line. Ales and Incorpora drag race across the start/finish line at 160. Orlandi makes up a length on the other two Italians as he finishes the outside racing line at 180.

Bauska continues running alone into the final corner on the inner racing line. Miller rounds the corner 11 racing line and dives to the inside 120 in corner 12 all at 120 for free. Collins screams through 11 & 12 at 160 spending three skill on acceleration (automatic pass) and another two skill on top speed (modified 4). He also unwinds a total of four wear from his tires, two on the racing line and two in the 120.

Blizzard comes out of corner 10 at 140 and gets a slip from Collins. He uses it to clear the 140s in 12 after dropping one wear on the racing line. Kennington is locked at 80 and dives into 11 on the inside. Brown with the slight edge in position runs the 80/60 combination shedding one wear and grabbing the racing line. Brandt scrubs off one wear in the 60s at 80 and with the inside finish he and Brown again swap positions.

A lot of jockeying but only two positions change hands.

Turn 24 summary:
Mossman drops half of his remaining wear on the green racing line at 100. Ales and Incorpora continue to match each other, swapping positions as they set up for corner 1. Orlandi slows to 140 and starts the green line behind Ales.

Bauska finishes the line at 120 and dives inside. Collins sheds one wear on the inner line at 140. Miller is also at 140 and looks for the inside line as well but the slip from Collins forces him onto the middle line, saving him a wear. Blizzard's engine screams as he covers the short straightaway at 180 and scrubs off one wear on the outer line.

Kellison uses his full acceleration to get to 160 and trades two wear for the use of the inner line behind Collins giving him P8. Kennington takes the corner 12 140s at speed and keeps his options open for next turn. Brown starts with the initiative along the racing line at 140 for one wear then runs the 140s for free. Brandt restores himself into P11 at 120 scraping one wear off in the 100 space of corner 11.

The gaps behind Mossman and Bauska shrink

Turn 25 summary:
Mossman turns corner 4 on the inside at a safe 80. Ales scrubs off two wear on the green racing line at 120. Incorpora also drops two wear on the red line but he's forced around the outside of corner 2 costing him a car length. Orlandi stands on the brakes using two skill to get to 80 (modified 7) and clears Corner 1 on the green line for free.

Bauska holds steady at 120 keeping his damaged brakes in mind as he approaches the first corner. Collins hold the pedal down at 140 keeping on the inside. Miller follows in Collins' tire tracks at 140 as well. Kellison is NPR and, by rule, must break the racing line. Since he's already paid two wear for the corner he need only to slow to 140 in the 100s. He finishes on the outside.

Blizzard delights the main straight crowd as he continues at 180. He requested the outside lane although I'm sure he's surprised that he had to dodge the silver car to get there. Kennington preserves his wear as he gets to 160 on the outer line. Brandt's top speed is 160 and he uses it to keep on the wing of the dark blue machine. Brown sacrifices two wear on the inner line at 160 to move into the final point position.
