The green flag flies in France as all drivers push with 2 skill except Brandt who throws his 3-skill chip in on the first turn.

Turn 1 summary:
Ling and Brandt keep row 1 intact as both move 120. Rae follows also at 120 on the inside.

Polcen, the first of the 80mph cars, holds down the inside. Tatum at 120 is able to duck in front of the black machine to move up to P4. Ales, the other 80mph racecar, completes the queue.

The pack stays intact with no position changes.

Turn 2 summary:
Ling reaches 160 shedding two wear in the 120s. Brandt at 140 also loses two wear through the 100s to stay even with the leader.

Rae and Tatum both plot 140, Rae dropping two wear in the 100s and Tatum only spending one wear in the 120s. He does get a slip which gets him one more space.

Polcen and Ales complete the pack also at 140, with Polcen taking his slip into the 100 knocking off two wear while Ales uses his slip to move into the 120s scrubbing off one wear.

Still no breathing room for anyone.

Turn 3 summary:
Ling and Brandt both plot 120, Ling taking the inside lane for one wear and Brandt staying in the outside lane for free.

Rae plots 140 but there's no room for that move. He spends one wear to late brake and hits the 120 for free. Tatum maintains 140 into the 100s scrubbing off two wear and gets a tenuous hold on P3.

Polcen and Ales both continue at 140; Polcen shedding two wear in the 100s and Ales sitting just short of the corner.

Some staggering finally appears as only two cars remain side-by-side

Turn 4 summary:
Ling runs up to Nouveau Monde at 140 on the inside. Brandt is locked at 120 and he keeps to the inside.

Tatum continues at 140, keeping on Ling's tail and moving into P2. Rae must plot 120 and runs in Brandt's tire tracks.

Polcen exits the corner at 140, passing Rae and finishing even with Brandt. Ales slows to 100 and takes the inside lane for free.

Good job on getting turns in. We can make up one of the two we lost at the beginning.

A spin in Nouveau Monde and the front three prepare to breakaway.

Turn 5 summary:
Ling careens around the inside of Nouveau Monde at 80 and jumps outside to break the draft. But Tatum is wise to the move as he also hangs 80 through the corner and moves to the middle making Ling's position moot.

Brandt plots 100 then downshifts late with two skill (modified 5) and also leaves rubber in the inside lane. Polcen wanted the same move but with the inside now blocked he's determined to clear the corner on this turn. He throws two wear and his big 3-skill chip at a chance roll at 100 through the middle 40s. His tires fail to grip and around he goes, looking at the infield instead of the pavement.

Rae decides to save a little wear since he can't clear the corner, so he goes outside at 80 shedding one wear. Ales approaches the corner at 100 in the middle lane to keep his options open for next turn.

Another great job on the moves! We are now even with the regular circuit. Thanks guys.

As anticipated, the field breaks into two 3-car packs.

Turn 6 summary:
Ling fires down the straightaway at 140, reaching D132. Tatum is able to pull even thanks to a 140 move and a slip.

Brandt comes off Monde and pushes his acceleration to 160 (naked 4) to keep up with the leaders. Polcen recovers from his spin at 40. (He could not do 60 as you can't exceed the corner speed after a spin)

Rae finishes Monde at 80 for paid wear. Ales picks off two cars at once with a two-wear 80 move through the inner 40s.

A new leader!

Turn 7 summary:
Ling and Tatum both run the inside of the corner at 80 using no wear and staying side-by-side.

Brandt slows to 120 and sheds two wear in the inside lane, picking off both Ling and Tatum in one move. Ales drives the entire straightaway at 140 and prepares for the corner.

Rae also accelerates to 140 and gets a slip from Ales to pull even with him. Polcen asks for a little extra acceleration as he recovers from his spin (naked 9) and is able to keep the cars ahead of him in sight.

No position changes as the front three prepare to get gone.

Turn 8 summary:
Brandt slows to 80 around the inside of Samson. Ling takes the same route dropping one wear to pull even with the yellow racecar.

Tatum plots 100 but with Ling and Brandt side-by-side he breaks his x3-skill chip to use one skill on a late brake (modified 8) and sits on the inside of the corner ready to take off with the two in front of him.

Ales and Rae both plot 100 and shed one wear each in the inside 80s to remain locked together. Polcen also takes the inside of the corner at 100 scrubbing off one wear.

Another lead change as the lead pack opens the gap a little more.

Turn 9 summary:
Ling is able to hit his top speed of 160 and retakes the lead. Brandt at 140 pulls in behind the green racecar. Tatum comes off of the corner at 140 using a slip to finish even with Brandt.

Ales, Rae and Polcen all plot 100 and drop one wear in the inside lane of Samson.

The front three continue to duel, Polcen keeps chasing the back pack.

Turn 10 summary:
Ling reaches the approach of Gresil at 140 remaining inside. Tatum takes the initiative with a 160 plot, pulling even with Ling. Brandt concedes with a 140 move to drop to third but it gives him a slip opportunity next turn.

Ales, Rae and Polcen all grab high gear and head down the straightaway at 160, holding station with each other.

Polcen catches the two in front of him while the two leaders prepare to break away.

Turn 11 summary:
Tatum gets initiative with a 140 plot and takes the 140s for free. Ling plots 120 but around the 120s he is able to keep side-by-side with Tatum.

Brandt plots 120 and gets a slip from Ling. He uses it to temporarily keep pace in the 140s. Ales hits Gresil at 140 choosing the outside lane to conserve rubber.

Rae drops his last wear on the inside of Gresil at 140, picking up P4. Polcen is able to stay at 160 and finally close the gap.

As expected, it's a two car break at the front.

Turn 12 summary:
Ling and Tatum both come off Gresil at 160 and run down the straightaway side-by-side. Brandt is locked at 140 and drops two car lengths back from the leaders.

Rae on the inside continues the corner at 140 for already paid wear then slides to the outside. Ales, who has the freshest tires, completes the 140s and drops in behind the red racecar. Polcen slows to 120 around the inside but it's enough to clear the corner. Unfortunately it leaves him with no drafting partner.

It looks like a two car shoot-out. And a mix of remaining wear could make all positions interesting.

Turn 13 summary:
Ling and Tatum remain locked together for the fourth straight turn, both taking the middle 120s for free. Brandt takes the same route at 120 also for free but he does not clear.

Rae approaches La Scierie at 160, but he's out of rubber. Ales, with three wear still to spend, takes the slip from Rae to pull even with him. Polcen taxes his engine looking for 180mph and it delivers (naked 6).

Ling barely holds the lead. Wear could be a factor for several late.

Turn 14 summary:
Tatum drops his last two wear at 160 in the Paradis 120s to temporarily take the lead. But Ling sheds his last wear and becomes the third driver to spend his 3-skill chip on lap one. A modified chance roll of 6 let's him take the 100s and stay in P1.

Brandt finishes LaScierie at 120 and drops inside. Ales scrubs off two wear in the 120s at 160 and pulls even with the yellow car. (Both Brandt and Ales have one wear left, will either roll dice next turn?)

Rae is on bald tires so he runs the LaScierie 100s at speed. Polcen decides to conserve what's left of his tires around the 120s, pulling up to Rae's wing.

Ling secures the 9 points but there's still racing to be done.

Turn 15 summary:
Ling grabs the dice and a zero skill roll of 6 let's him grab P1 at 180mph. Tatum does not challenge and is satisfied to finish second at 160.

Ales drops his last wear in the 120s at 140. Brandt slows to 100 and chooses to leave that last bit of rubber on the tires as he rounds the 100s and falls in behind Ales.

Rae also slows to 100 and keeps to the inside of Paradis. Polcen gets the most of his lap 1 tires as he sheds the last of the rubber in the 120s at 140 setting up a drag race between himself and Rae.
