The chase pack has caught the leaders as they stack up in front of the Hairpin. This could get 'dicey'!

Turn 27 Summary

Welage posts 140 then at the last moment brakes down to 120 on the dice (naked 8). Beckman stays with the Axalta Chevy at 120.

Swaine runs up on the bumper of the #88 at 160. Harley, also at 160, has the tailpipe on the Pennzoil Ford.

Long drops the hammer to 180 (naked 5) to get the initiative. He's on the outside of a 3-wide. Tatum dials it back to 140 and with the bonus tucks in behind the Dr. Pepper Toyota.

Ling punches it to 180 (naked 6) to get the initiative and tries to catch Harrington asleep at the wheel. Harrington, at 160, is not easily fooled and tucks in behind the Alliance Ford.

Marvin pushes his engine to 160 (naked 6) to grab the initiative out of Einfhart. Rando, not feeling the dice right now, plots 140 and slides in behind the Furniture Row Toyota.

Brandt runs the Einfhart 80's at 100 for a wear. Snouffer address the Einfhart on the inner rail at 80.

Holy guacamole! The race leader crashes and a few cars spin out.

Turn 28 Results

Welage opts for the Hairpin racing line at 80. This infuriates the dice gods (naked 11) who then put him into and through the tire barrier. Beckman has the same idea, using his last sp on the roll (modified 7). Not good enough as he spins out in the Hairpin. His crash involvement roll is fine (-3, modified 0).

Harley has the initiative at 120 and runs the outer rail of the Hairpin for his last 2 wear. After a successful crash involvement roll with his last sp (-4, modified 6), he takes the secondary line and is the new race leader. Long clips his last 2 tires at 120, following the #27 car through the Hairpin and ending on his left side panel. His crash avoidance roll is also successful (-3, modified 4).

Swaine plots 100 then brakes down to 80 on the dice (naked 10). He damages the brakes and without wear to pay the penalty, spins his car. Tatum reaches for the dice cup to brake to 80 (naked 8) before pulling up to the Hairpin on the line.

Ling pulls alongside the spun-out #23 at 140. Harrington, at 140 and the bonus, sits on the outside of a 3-wide going into the Hairpin.

Marvin pushes his engine one more time (naked 4) to remain at 160. Rando, at 140 and the slip, stays on the bumper of the #78.

Brandt accelerates down the stretch towards the Parabolika at 160. Snouffer drops a wear in the Einfhart 60's at 80.

John escapes the burning wreckage of his car with only minor bumps and bruises to show for it.
