The white flag comes out as two cars enter the final lap!

Turn 23 Summary

Harley and Swaine trade paint down the straight at 160, crossing the S/F line into the final lap. With one wear each, it should be quite a battle!

Hoyt clips a tire in the Hairpin at 120 on the inner rail and hits an exit row.

Munies drops a wear in the Hairpin 120's and takes position behind the #24. Haskell, at 120 and the bonus, burns a wear in the Hairpin and is poised for the front stretch next to the blue racer.

Burnett runs the Esses line and the inner Hairpin for free at 100. Bauska loses his grip on the wheel and with an RM plot, drops to 80. He takes the Esses 80 for free and ends up on the outer rail of the Hairpin.

Galullo races through the Esses line at 140 for 2 wear. He drops another in the Hairpin 120's. Rae stays hot on the bumper of the #96 at 120 and the bonus. He burns a wear on the Esses line.

Scarpino runs the line in the Esses at 100 for free. Snouffer pulls up to the Esses on the line at 100.

Two more cars into the final lap...

Turn 24 Summary

Harley plots 160 then late brakes down to 140 with 1s (modified 7). He runs the Curva 1 line for free. Swaine cuts his speed back to 120 and runs Curva 1 on the outer rail to grab the tailpipe on the #27.

Haskell pushes to 180 with 2s (modified 2) and has the initiative. He maneuvers to the outside to potentially shake off Hoyt. Hoyt is not fooled and, at 160, runs up on the bumper of the #20.

Munies finishes out the Hairpin at 140. Burnett does the same at 120 with Galullo pulling up beside him at 140.

Rae exits the hairpin at 120 and moves to the outer rail. Bauska is also at 120 and has the inside.

Scarpino clips a tire in the Hairpin 100's at 120 and has the wing of the #1 car. Snouffer takes the Esses line and inner rail of the Hairpin for free at 100.

Turn 25 Deadline: Friday, April 13th @ 8 a.m. EDT (12 noon GMT)

Without question, it is Friday the 13th. Lady luck was in hiding while black cats and Puck were out wreaking havoc.

Turn 25 Summary

Harley slows it down to 120 as he preps for Curva 3. Swaine, also at 120 and with the bonus, pulls even with the race leader.

Haskell runs Curva 1 at 160 on the green line for a wear. Hoyt clips 2 tires at 160 on the outer rail of Curva 1. He pulls up on the side panel of the #20 with the slip. Munies grabs the green Curva 1 line at 140. He picks a good day to keep his dice cup idle.

Burnett drops the hammer to 180, using one of his big chips to avoid any bad luck on this day (top speed test is auto-pass at -3). Galullo pushes his engine with 1s to get up to 160 (modified 10). The engine coughs, leaving him at 140 and some damage.

Rae tries to take his racer up to 180 but the dice gods toss the boxcars at him (naked 12). He re-plots to 160, takes some engine damage, and cedes the initiative to the inside car. Bauska nearly suffers the same fate, pushing to 160 with 2s (modified 9). He just manages not to red-line the engine and tucks in behind the #96.

Scarpino shoots out of the Parabolca like a cannonball at 180. He makes it 3-wide going into Curva 1. Snouffer finishes out Parabolica at 120 and will be the last car to cross into lap 3 next turn.

The tussle for the lead continues while all the back-markers are into the final lap.

Turn 26 Summary

Harley runs the outer rail in Curva 3 at 80 for free. Swaine plots 80 then late brakes to 60 (naked 2), taking the inner rail for free and gains the top position.

Haskell pulls up to Curva 3 on the outside at 160. Hoyt eases up to 140.

Munies rounds Curva 1 on the green line for free at 140. Burnett also runs the Curva 1 line at 140 and pulls even with the #18 on the bonus.

Galullo tests his engine at 140 (naked 3) to take the green line for free. Bauska tests his top speed (naked 10) but his engine is having none of it. The failed test allows Rae & Scarpino to move next from the row...

Rae tests top (naked 9) at 160. He runs to the outside in Curva 1 for 2 wear. Scarpino must brake down from 160 (1 wear) with no place to go then takes the Curva 1 line for free. Bauska now moves at 140, taking the outer rail for a wear.

Snouffer drops the hammer to 180 and is ready for the Curva 1 line.

Harley spins, leaving nothing but clean air for Swaine. Can he hold onto the victory and circuit title? The real battle is between Haskell & Hoyt to determine the 4th and final car that will advance to C3 next season.

Turn 27 Summary

Swaine clips his last tire in the VIP 60's at 80. Harley, also at 80, drops his last wear and goes to the chance table in the VIP 40's (naked 8). He loses control of his racer and spins on the track!

Haskell over-brakes to 80 with 1s (modified 3) and runs Curva 3 on the outer rail for free. Hoyt, at 100, burns a tire in the 80's and slides in next to the #20.

Munies, at 120, burns off some speed in Curva 2 before addressing Curva 3 on the inside. Burnett takes the outside slot at 100.

Galullo goes to the well again on his engine (naked 9) and at 140 grabs the tailpipe on the M&M's Toyota. Rae, also at 140, takes the bumper on the green Chevy.

Scarpino stays with the chase pack at 140. Bauska doesn't press his luck with a disabled engine and drops to 120, tucking in behind the #2 Ford.

Snouffer runs the green line on Curva 1 for free at 140.

Swaine breaks out of VIP but with bald tires can he keep the chasers at bay?

Turn 28 Summary

Swaine accelerates out of VIP at 120 into the back stretch. Harley recovers from his spin at 40.

Haskell clips 2 tires at 100 through the VIP 60's. Hoyt does the same to remain on the side panel of the #20.

Munies slows to 60 and takes Curva 3 on the inner rail for free. Burnett, at 80, runs Curva 3 for free on the outside.

Galullo plots 100 but, with no place to put his car, goes to the dice cup with his last sp (modified 7). Now at 80, he takes the outer rail in Curva 3 for free.

Rae, also at 100, opts for 2 wear in the Curva 3 60's followed by a pass attempt. With both cars blocking, he makes the move on Munies (inside car) but the dice are not friendly (naked 8). A '3' comes up which damages the #18 car. Rae must brake to 60 with a wear and a dice roll (naked 8).

Scarpino takes the outer lane in Curva 3 at 80 for free. Bauska gets an RM plot - 80 to the outside. Snouffer pulls up to Curva 3 on the inside at 120.

We don't need no stinkin' brakes...

Turn 29 Summary

Swaine pulls up to Parabolica Interior at 100 in the middle lane.

Haskell tests both Acc & Top to drop the hammer to 180 (naked 8/9). He sits on the outside of the #16. Hoyt, at 160, rolls down the backstretch.

Harley pushes his engine to 100 (naked 8) and enjoys the luxury of the double bonus.

Munies knocks down 2 wear at 100 through the VIP 60's. Burnett, at 80, burns 2 wear in the VIP 40's.

Rae clips 2 tires in the VIP 60's at 100. Galullo has no place to park at 100. He moves one space then late brakes to 80 (naked 7) before taking the VIP 40's for 2 wear.

Scarpino decelerates to 60 and drops a wear in the VIP 40's. Bauska continues at 80, taking the outer rail in VIP for a wear.

Snouffer, at 80, burns a wear in Curva 3 but must late brake (1 wear) to 60 with nowhere to go.

A blown engine and an incredibly tight points race for the title!

Turn 30 Summary

Haskell has the initiative at 100. He over-brakes with 1s (modified 2) then burns his last tire in the Interior 80's for the race lead. Swaine drops to 60, taking the Interior for free.

Hoyt cuts his engine back to 80, perhaps forgetting about his wimpy brakes. He knocks off a wear and rolls the dice w/ 1s (modified 5) before taking the Interior for free. Harley rolls into the Interior at 80 at no cost.

Munies tests his engine with 1s (modified 5) to speed up to 160. Burnett tucks in behind at 140.

Galullo goes to the dice cup once too often, testing for top speed at 140 (naked 10). He red lines his engine and has to pull off the track. Rae, at 140 and the bonus, pulls alongside the #19.

Scarpino and Bauska finish out VIP at 60 and 80 respectively. Snouffer runs the outer rail in VIP for free at 60.

Turn 31 Deadline: Friday, April 27th @ 8 a.m. EDT (12 noon GMT)

Note the current GP points at the top of the leaderboard:

Munies = 47
Rae = 46
Haskell = 45
Swaine = 44

Three issues are at hand.
1. Can Munies hang on to the series win? The winner in guaranteed a spot in the RROC.
2. The top 4 racers get promoted to C3. Will anyone jeopardize their position?
3. Will Hoyt influence the series standings with his last wear or even parlay it into a race win & a promotion?

All these questions will be answered over the next two weeks...

Turn 31 Summary

Haskell pulls up to Orelha at 100 on the inside. Swaine tucks in behind the #20, also at 100.

Hoyt revs up to 100 and grabs the tailpipe on the #16. Harley finishes out the Interior at 80.

Munies takes the Interior 80's at 100 and scrubs a tire. Burnett, at 100, dives into the Interior 60's for 2 wear, pulling even with the #18. Rae clips a tire in the Interior 80's at 100.

Bauska uses his last two skill chits to race down the straight at 140 (modified 6). Scarpino grabs the bumper of the #23 at 120. Snouffer brings up the rear as he races out of VIP at 120.

Mater makes his appearance to drag Gallulo's car to the paddock.
