Builds are in. We have a late scratch - Kevin is sitting this one out but will return for season 5. There was not enough time to replace him so we go with 11.

Not too many duplicates (Rae & Hoyt; Bauska & Galullo) and a ton of variety. Four cars with 100 start speed and one with a 120! Only two cars look to be running from behind with 20 starts. Two big 180 engines and two putt-putters at 140.

Start bid deadline: Wednesday, February 14th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)

Lots of position changes as the green flag drops!

Harley uses his investment in start speed to jump out onto the Curva 1 line at 120. Munies pushes the start with 1s (modified 3) to hit 80 and preps the line in the middle lane.

Swaine, coming out of row 2, pushes to 120 with 2s (modified 0) then tucks in behind the #27. Burnett goes to the dice with 2s (modified 6) and at 80, grabs the bumper on the M&M's Toyota.

Snouffer has the initiative out of row 3 with a plot of 120 (naked 9). He mis-shifts and now, at 80, pulls in behind the green Chevy. Scarpino is content to let some cars pass with his start speed of 20.

Galullo, at 120, shakes the dice cup with 2s (modified 3). He can't find a tail so he uses the inside lane to move up several positions. Bauska runs in behind the baby blue Toyota at 100.

Rae pushes his start to 80 with 2s (modified 5), passing the #2 car. Hoyt, at 60, pulls up on the side panel of the Miller Lite Ford.

Plotting 40, Haskell drops 2 skill chips into the kitty on the dice roll but to no avail (modified 9). He mis-shifts and stays put at 0 (he can use his normal ACC next turn - it is not a re-start).

With a blocked track, Snouffer attempts a big move early in the race.

Turn 2 Summary

Harley clips a tire on the Curva 1 green line before speeding into Curva 2. Swaine stays hot on his tail, taking the green line for free at 140 plus the bonus.

Munies runs the Curva 1 line for free at 140.

Burnett has the initiative at 140. He eschews the racing line and runs Curva 1 on the outer rail for a wear. He pulls to the inside of the #18 with the bonus. Galullo slow plays the corner at 120 on the line and bottles things up behind him.

Bauska, at 140 and the line blocked, takes Curva 1 on the outside for a wear. Snouffer, at 140 and with the bonus, runs the outer rail for a wear and attempts a forced pass on the #23 with 1sp (modified 9). With no room on the track, he must brake down to 100, using another wear and 2sp on the brake table (modified 4).

Rae rolls into Curva 1 on the line at 140. Hoyt grabs the line at 120. Scarpino, at 80 and the bonus, sets up the green line.

Haskell pulls out of his mis-shift at 60.

Munies gets initiative at 140 then burns off some speed on the outer rail in Curva 2. Burnett, at 120, slots into the outside lane in front of the corner.

Galullo plots 160 then burns off some speed in Curva 2 before grabbing the tailpipe on the #18. Bauska, at 140 packs it in behind the #19.

Snouffer accelerates to the corner speed of 120. Rae continues at 140 and is pushed to the outer rail in Curva 2.

Galullo races into the outer rail of Curva 3 at 100 for a wear. Bauska has no place to go with his 100 plot. He late brakes to 80 with a wear before taking the Curva 3 80's for free.

Snouffer brakes down to 60 as he preps Curva 3 on the inside. Rae scrapes off a wear in the Curva 3 80's at 100.

Hoyt pulls up to Curva 3 on the outer rail at 100. Scarpino grabs the bumper of the #22 at 100.

Haskell takes the Curva 1 green line for free at 140 and still has plenty of clean air.

Can anyone haul in Swaine with two laps to go?!

Turn 11 Summary

Swaine extends his lead as he crosses into lap 2. He has the Curva 1 line. Harley increases speed to 120, exiting the Parabolica.

Munies runs out of the Parabolica at 120. Bauska, at 140, does the same and sits on the side panel of the #18.

Burnett tackles Parabolica on the inside at 120, costing a wear. Galullo, at 100, takes the Esses line and Parabolica for free.

Rae follows the same route as the #96, also at 100. Hoyt clips a tire on the Esses line at 120 before pulling into Parabolica on the middle lane.

Snouffer pulls up to the Esses on the line at 120. Haskell* drops 2 wear at 100 in Orelha. Scarpino dumps a tire in Orelha at 80.

*Franklin noted my failure to deduct wear for his car through VIP (2) and I applaud his honesty. He exemplifies the fine spirit of play we've become accustomed to in our little racing game.
