The unusual adjudication times have begun!

That is one crowded track! I find it amazing that all the cars are in contact this late in the race.

Chart note: Burnett is ahead of Bauska.

Turn 24 Results

Harley grabs the inside rail in Bendor at 80 for free. Munies runs into the Bendor 100's at 100 for free.

Swaine continues at 140 through Beausset. Snouffer stays at 100 and sits on the wing of the black machine.

Rae, at 120, dives into the Beausset 80's at the apex for another wear. He pulls up next to the Pennzoil racer.

Bauska gets the initiative at 120 and takes the Beausset 100's for a wear. Hoyt, at 100, burns a wear in the 80's.

The back markers all plot 120. Burnett races around the Beausset 80's for 2 wear. Harrington clips 2 tires in the 80's but with no room to continue, jumps out to the 100's at the row alignment.

Haskell late brakes from 120 to 100 with 2s (modified 4). He clips a tire in Beausset 80's.

Mater takes the #2 off to the garage area.

Turn 25 Hard Deadline: Tuesday, December 19th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
Trigger option for tomorrow night if all plots are in.

Wow, this is a mess...

Turn 25 Summary

Harley finishes Bendor at 80. Munies drops to 80 and cuts into the 80's at the Bendor apex.

Swaine takes the Bendor 100's for free.

Rae plots 120 and has the initiative but has to brake to 100, for which goes to the dice with 1s (modified 6). He dives into the open 80 spot for a wear after starting in the 100's. Snouffer runs the Bendor 100's at 100 for free.

Hoyt takes the outer rail in Bendor for free at 100.

Bauska gets the initiative at 120 but must brake down to 100 with a wear. He dives into the Bendor 80 with another wear. Burnett takes the 100's for free at 100.

Harrington continues at 120 but finds himself short of track. After braking to 100 with a wear, he takes the outer lane for free. Haskell takes his machine into the Bendor 80's at 100 for a wear.

Turn 26 hard deadline: Thursday, December 21st @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
Trigger option in effect.

Two leave the peleton behind with a small break away.

Turn 26 Summary

Harley pulls up to du Pont at 100. Munies slides in next to him at 120.

All the other cars stay in their respective lanes at 100 with the exception of Harrington. He opts for the shortest route and spends one wear as he ducks into the 80's.

Turn 27 Deadline: Saturday, December 23rd @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
Trigger option in effect.

A new leader on the board! Five cars make it through the pressure cooker of the Virage du Pont.

Turn 27 Summary

Munies gets initiative at 100 and clips a tire in the du Pont 80's to take the lead! He tries to shake any tails on the outer rail. Harley, at 80 for free, is not fooled and picks up the bumper on the #18.

Swaine has the initiative at 100. He races through the 60 spot in du Pont for 2 wear before jumping in behind the #27. Rae drops speed to 60, tying up the inside rail on du Pont for free.

Bauska has initiative out of the next row at 100. He gladly takes the open 80's for a wear and is ready to accelerate out of du Pont. Snouffer, at 80, enters the du Pont 80's for free.

Haskell gets the initiative at 120. With no place to park his machine, he brakes on the tables with 2 much needed skill (modified 9). He gets the inside lane in front of Virage du Pont. Hoyt, at 100, burns off speed through Tours before settling in next to the #20.

Burnett, at 100, takes the scenic route through Tours to burn off some speed. Also at 100, Harrington does not have that option. He brakes to 80 with a wear and takes the inner rail.

Turn 28 HARD Deadline: Tuesday, December 26th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
I will be able to adjudicate on Sunday, the 24th if all plots are in.

The white flag drops for the M&M's Toyota with four cars hot on her tail!

Turn 28 Summary

Munies runs up to Verriere on the line at 160. Harley stays attached to the #18, also at 160. Swaine hits 140 but stays in formation with the bonus.

Rae pushes ACC to get to 160 (naked 6) and opts for the inner rail. Bauska trades paint with the #1 at 140 and the slip. He pulls up on the bumper of the #16.

Snouffer finishes du Pont at 80. Haskell clips a tire at 100 through the du Pont 80's. Hoyt saves his wear at 80 on the outer rail before grabbing the tailpipe on the #22.

Harrington burns a wear at 100 on the outside before pulling in behind the #20. Burnett drops to 60 to take the inside rail for free. He's sitting on the wing of the #24.

Turn 29 HARD deadline: Wednesday, Dec. 27th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
Trigger option in effect.

Everyone is on lap 3. Go dog, go!

I fixed Swaine's wear - I docked him one too many 2 turns ago. I had corrected his move but not the chart.

Turn 29 Summary

Munies takes the Verriere line for free at 140. Harley, at 140 and the bonus, pulls even with the #18.

Swaine, also at 140, gets the slip and switches over to the bumper on the M&M's car.

Bauska takes an RM plot (if there were a worse place to NPR, I don't know where) and runs the Verriere 120's for free. Rae drops speed to 100 (?) and rides the open line in Verriiere.

Haskell gains the initiative at 160, pulling up to Verriere on the line. Snouffer pushes his engine with 2s (modified 5) and gets his machine up to 140. He slides in behind the #20 on the line.

Harrington, with initiative, runs to the inside of the #22 at 160. Hoyt, at 140, eschews the slipstream for a possible slip next turn on the orange car.

Burnett runs across the S/F line at 140 and, with the bonus, pulls even with the NAPA Chevy.

Turn 30 Deadline: Friday, December 29th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
Expect a delay unless we trigger early. I'l be on the road all day Friday.

Turn 30 Summary

Munies drops to 100 and clips a tire in the Chicane. Haskell eases down to 80 on bald tires, taking the 80's for free. Swaine dives into the Chicane 100's for free at 100.

Rae pulls up to the Chicane at 140. Bauska, stuck at 120, falls behind the red car. He stays on the outer rail (?).

Haskell runs the Verriere line for free at 140. Snouffer gets initiative at 140 and pulls even with the #20 on the bonus. Harrington burns a wear at 120 in the Verriere 100's.

Hoyt scrapes off a tire on the Verriere line at 160. He grabs the tailpipe on the Dewalt Toyota. Burnett, at 140 and the slip, keeps up with the blue car and tucks in behind the Pennzoil Ford.

A bit late today - let's hope it's not a sign for the new year!

Turn 31 Summary

Munies is the only car to clear the hairpin, at 80 on the inside for a wear. Harley takes the St. B 80's for free at 80.

Swaine hops over to the 80's in the Chicane and preps for the outer rail in the hairpin. Rae runs the Chicane 80's for free.

Haskell clips a tire in the chicane 80's at 100. Snouffer, also at 100, burns off speed in the 100's before moving into the 80's for a wear.

Bauska, at 100 and with primary options not available, races into the Chicane 80/60 combo for 2 wear. He's on bald tires now but moves up several positions.

Hoyt plots 80 which is 40 over his decel. That's 1 wear and a dice roll w/ 1s (modified 5). He runs into the 80's for free. Burnett, also at 80, sits in the Chicane 100's.

Harrington can't find a place to go at 100 and burns off his last wear to brake to 80.

Things just took a turn to the ugly. Gatlin's spin didn't cause too many issues this turn but will play havoc on the back half of the field with his start speed of 20. Yikes!

Turn 32 Summary

Munies runs out a lead at 140 and lots of clean air.

Harley finishes out the hairpin at 80. Swaine rolls into the 80's at 100 for a wear then brakes down to 80 with the dice (naked 7). He tucks in behind the big engine of the #27 car.

Gatlin gets initiative at 100 which puts him into the 80's on the chance table w/ 2s (modified 8). He can't hold the corner and spins his machine! Rae clips a wear at 80 in the St. B. 60's before bumping to the outer rail.

Haskell plots 100 but, seeing no openings, late brakes to 80 with the dice (naked 8). He burns a wear on the inside rail but is poised for a breakout. Snouffer eases down to 60 as he preps for the hairpin on the inner rail.

Hoyt finishes out the 80's in the chicane and takes the only spot available to him (a VERY unfriendly spot with few good options next turn).

Burnett drops to 80 as he finishes the chicane for free. Harrington, at 80, takes the chicane for free.

Turn 33 Deadline: Monday, January 8th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
We should be back to a regular schedule next week.

Wow... a slew of naked dice rolls and everyone comes out unscathed!

Turn 33 Summary

Munies drops the hammer to 180 and races down the Mistral with a nice cushion.

Harley revs up his engine to 160. Swaine pushes his Acceleration (naked 7) and also hits 160. He eschews the slip to stay attached to the bumper of the #27.

Rae pushes his oversized engine to hit the Mistral at 180 (naked 5). Haskell, at 160, says 'no' to the slip, preferring a potential big slip next turn on the red #1 machine.

Bauska recovers from his spin at 40, moving inside. Snouffer saves his wear at 60 but is still able to find an exit row from the hairpin.

At 100 and with the road blocked, Hoyt attempts a forced pass on the Dr. Pepper car (naked 5). He drops a wear in the corner and somehow squeezes through!

Burnett, also at 100 and faced with a blocked track, follows Hoyt's lead and also passes the #23 (naked 7). He gets docked 2 wear by virtue of staying on the inner rail.

Harrington, with no wear to spend, drops to 60, taking the hairpin for free. Unfortunately, he gets hung up in the corner but will be able to accelerate next turn to the 100 speed limit.

The fans in the Mistral grandstand hear the roar of the big engines as history is made!

Turn 34 Summary

Munies continues at 180 as he readies his car to tackle Signes. Harley goes to the dice cup, getting his car up to an incredible 200 (naked 5).

Rae gets initiative as he pushes to an unworldly 220 (naked 4). He pulls up next to the #27. Swaine, at 180, opts for the single slip only as he ducks in behind the red racer.

Haskell also pushes to 220 (naked 7). With the double slip, he moves his car the maximum 13 spaces ever allowed in our fine game! With that move, he climbs up to 2nd place while the name 'Rocketman' shall forever be etched in the annals of Redscape Formula Racing history.

Burnett gets the initiative at 180 and races down the Mistral. Hoyt, at 160, comes in on the wing of the #19.

Snouffer pushes his acceleration with 2s (modified 3) to hit 120 and break out onto the Mistral. Bauska also pushes with 2s (modified 0) and at 100 is able to grab the tailpipe on the #22.

Harrington plots 80 (?) and will hope to make up some ground on the Mistral.

A Battle Royale is brewing for first place while a back marker red lines his engine.

Turn 35 Summary

Munies races into Signes on the line at 140 for a wear. Haskell, at 200, grabs the line and hauls the front runner back into contact.

Harley eases back to 180 and sets up Signes on the line. Rae, also at 180, uses the double bonus to pull up to Signes in the middle lane.

Swaine gets the double slip at 180 and with a blocked line tucks in behind the #20.

Burnett races down the Mistral at 180. Hoyt refuses to let the green Chevy go at 160 and a single slip.

Snouffer goes to the dice cup with 1s to get up to 180 (modified 7). Bauska, at 140 and the double bonus, stays with the #22.

Harrington forgets to tithe the dice gods as he pushes to 160 (naked 12). They respond with boxcars and a damaged gas pedal.

A conga line forms as the leaders head into the last three corners. The dice gods are friendly to the back-markers.

A racing-appropriate quote from today's honoree:
If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

Turn 36 Summary

Munies finishes Signes and pulls up to Beausset on the inside at 140. Haskell clips a tire on the Signes line at 140 to stay on the wing of the race leader.

Rae drops to 120, taking the Signes 120 for free. Swaine plots 140, under the impression he can get to the outer lane. This is not possible with the mis-aligned rows so he must dive into the 120's for his last wear. With the bonus he tucks in between the Dewalt and Mc'Donald's cars.

Running on bald tires, Harley takes it easy on the Signes line at 120.

Burnett goes to the dice cup as he pushes to 200 (naked 8). He grabs the line. Hoyt also rolls for top, plotting 180 (naked 5). With the double bonus he pulls to the inside of the green machine.

Snouffer tosses the dice with his last skill and hits 200 (modified 5). Bauska, at 180 and the double slip, pulls alongside the Pennzoil Ford.

Harrington brings up the rear at 180.
