Lots of wear rubbed off this turn...

Turn 24 Summary

Rae races down the backstretch at 160.

Haskell plots 140 to get the initiative then late brakes to 120, careening through Samson for 2 wear. Burnett goes 2nd at 120 and also bumps 2 wear in Samson, pulling alongside the #38. Scarpino is last to move out of the 3-wide at 100 and scrapes off a tire, taking the inside lane.

Swaine hits Samson at 100 for a wear and with the slip takes position next to the #17. Munies saves his wear at 80 through Samson.

Hoyt clips 2 tires in D132 at 120. Snouffer drops a wear in the D132 at 100 and grabs the bumper on the #14.

The big engines make some noise on the backstretch. With a bold move, the Canadians now sit in the top two spots.

Turn 25 Summary

Rae races into Gresil on the 140's at 160 for a wear.

Both Haskell & Burnett drop the hammer and fly down the backstretch at 180.

Swaine has the initiative at 180 and takes the double slip from Haskell, denying it to Scarpino. With a blocked track he lays 2 chips on the forced pass (modified 5) and squeezes between the yellow & green cars. With no slip available, Scarpino loses a space to the chasers at 160.

Munies tests his acceleration with 1sp (modified 5) and runs out of the corner at 180.

Hoyt takes Samson at 80 for free. Snouffer clips a tire in Samson at 100 to pull alongside the #14.

Bauska gets initiative at 120, burning a wear through Samson and putting his big chip on the chance roll (modified 5). He keeps his car on the pavement! Harrington drops a wear in Samson at 100.

Bauska drops the hammer to 180. Thanks to the #94, he gets the double bonus and pulls ahead of the McDonald's Ford. Harrington, at 160, fails to request the slip (nor has submitted defaults) and settles in behind the #14.

Late adjudication today - I waited for a plot that I knew would be coming in. This is a solid group; I don't think we've had a single NPR in the race.

Turn 27 Summary

Rae pulls up to La Scierie at 160. Swaine is hot on this tail, also at 160.

Haskell finished out Gresil at 120. Burnett, at 140, pulls abreast of the #38.

Bauska takes the outer rail on Gresil at 140 for free. Snouffer, also at 140, opts for the inner rail and a tire. The bonus pushes him past the #28.

Hoyt drops the hammer to 180 and clips 2 tires in Gresil on the outside. Harrington pulls up to Gresil at 160 (no slip requested).

Burnett gets the initiative at 140. He drops a wear in La Scierie before grabbing the tailipipe on the #25. Scarpino goes next, also at 140, and clips a tire in the corner.

Swaine drops the hammer to 180 and grabs the inner rail on the kink. Burnett does the same but is pushed out to the less efficient middle lane.
