The leaders are in the final lap. The wear hogs in the back need to make some moves soon (albeit, this track is not very friendly for passing).

Turn 21 Summary

Coyle maintains initiative by pushing his engine to 140 with 1sp (modified). Mossman stays on the side panel of the #99, also at 140.

Incorpora clips 2 tires on The 90 line. Hancock drops 2 wear on the middle lane and ends on the tailpipe of the #8.

Ales burns 2 tires on The 90 line and is ready to punch it down the straight. Ling, at 100, settles in on the line.

Brown, at 120, lines up behind the #17.

LaMorte pulls out of the Big Bend at 120. Tatum completes Big Bend at his current speed of 120.

Orlandi scrapes off 2 tires at 120 in the Big Bend 80's. Brandt pays 2 wear to take the Big Bend line at 120.

Yet another lead change and a visit to the chance table from the back of the field ( and a wear boss, no less)!

Turn 22 Summary

Mossman gets the initiative at 140, moves one space, then brakes down to 120 on the tables w/ 1sp (modified 6). He runs the Ess curves for a wear. Coyle clips a tire in the Esses at 120.

Incorpora rockets into S1 on the outer rail at 160 for 2 wear.

Ales pulls up to S1 on the inside at 160. Hancock stays alongside the #88 at 140 plus the slip.

Ling runs The 90 on the line at 120 for 2 wear. Brown conserves his tires at 80 on the line and gets the bonus space.

LaMorte burns a wear and tosses his big chip onto the chance table (modified 4), traversing The 90 line at 120.

Brandt gets the initiative at 120 and scrapes off 2 tires on the line in The 90. Three wide going into the final lap! Tatum drops a wear in The 90 on the line at 100.

Orlandi finds his line blocked at 120 and settles in behind the #50 after dropping 2 wear in the 80's.

Coyle takes back the lead. The race for the series championship can't get any tighter with Mossman & Ling tied in points. Currently, Ling carries the tie-breaker. Every position battle matters...

Turn 23 Summary

Coyle takes back the initiative at 140. He runs the outer rail in the Tunnel for a wear. Mossman follows the groove of the #99 for free at 120.

Incorpora drops to 140 and clips a tire in S2.

Ales & Hancock trade paint at 120 as they traverse the Ess curves for 1 wear apiece.

Ling burns a tire at 120 in S1.

Brandt gets the initiative coming out of the 3-wide at 160. He scrapes off 2 wear in the S1 120's before tapping the bumper on the #17.

Brown & LaMorte, at 140, drop 2 wear each in S1 to reform the rolling roadblock.

Tatum pulls up to the Ess curves at 140. Orlandi comes alongside the #50 at 160.

Mossman red lines his engine. With the #14 out of the running, can anyone catch Coyle? Brandt decides to take a big bite out if his wear.

Turn 24 Summary

Coyle drops the hammer and uses his last chip to fly down the straight at 180 (modified 3). Mossman pushes to 160 with 1s (modified 11) but it's just too much for his engine. He has the current GP lead but can he hold it?

Incorpora clips a tire in the Tunnel 100 at 120.

Ales runs the outer rail in the Tunnel at 140 for a wear and stays tucked in behind the #8. Hancock saves her meager wear at 120 in the 120's before grabbing the tailpipe on the #88.

Ling pulls up to the Tunnel at 120.

Brandt flies through S2 at 160 for 2 wear then dumps 2 more in the Tunnel 120's. Brown burns a tire in S2 at 140 and slides in next to the #17. LaMorte, at 120, taps the bumper on the Dewalt Ford.

Orlandi gets the initiative at 120 and runs the 120's in the Esses for free. Tatum drops to 100 (paying a wear for the privilege) and takes the Ess curves for free.

Coyles stretches his lead. Many questions remain: Who will win the series title? Who will advance to C2 next season?

Turn 25 Summary

Coyle flies into the Carousel at 160, dropping 2 tires on the outside lane. Mossman accepts his limitations at 120.

Incorpora tops out his engine at 160. Ales pulls up on the left panel of the #8 at 160 and the bonus. Hancock keeps the pace, also at 160 and the slip.

Brandt finishes out the Tunnel at 160.

Ling scrapes off 2 tires at 160 on the outer rail and tucks in behind the #5. Brown clips a tire in the Tunnel 100 at 120 before tapping the bumper on the #17.

LaMorte continues to preserve wear at 120 on the outer rail. He completes the conga line with the bonus.

Orlandi burns a wear at 140 in the Tunnel 120's. Tatum runs the Tunnel for free at 100 and has the tail on the #18.

Cheers from the backstretch as Orlandi lets it all hang out!

Turn 26 Summary

Coyle finishes out the Carousel at 160. Mossman clips a tire in the Carousel 100's at 120.

Incorpora scrapes off 2 tires at 160 on the outer rail of the Carousel. At 140, Ales also loses 2 wear on the inside rail.

Hancock* takes an RM plot into the Carousel 120's at 120.

Brandt pulls up to the Carousel at 160. Ling, at 160 and the bonus, sits on the side panel of the #5.

Brown keeps the pace at 160 and the slip, tucking in behind the Kellogg's Chevy. LaMorte maintains the conga at 160 and the bonus.

Orlandi wows the fans as he drops the hammer at 200 with 2s (modified 0). Tatum can only look in awe as his 140 and the coveted double slip is not enough to maintain contact.

Turn 27 Deadline: Monday, April 10th @ 12 noon EDT (4 p.m. GMT)

* Christina, one more NPR will result in removal from the race and a demotion from C3 next season.

Most drivers should finish next week. There aren't many questions left at the Glen. Coyle will have no problem winning the race and LIng looks like a lock for the series championship. It appears unlikely there will any change to the group that gets promoted although there is still a little uncertainty for the final spot. Note that while Tatum and Coyle are tied at 25 points with a win apiece, Tatum gets the edge by virtue of running two races compared to Coyle's one.

Fun fact: The wins by LIng, Tatum, & Coyle were each accomplished in their first league race.

Turn 29 Summary

Coyle approaches The 90 at 120.

Ales gets initiative at 140. He burns off a wear in the Kink, drops another one to brake down to 120, then reels off 2 more on the Big Bend line. Incorpora, at 120, is pushed to the outer rail in Big Bend for 2 wear.

Brandt earns the initiative at 140 and clips a wear in the Kink before setting up the Big Bend line. Mossman, at 120, settles in behind the #5 on the line.

Ling takes his last chip to the brake table (modified 7) to drop down to 120. He slides to the inside of Mossman with the bonus. At 120, Hancock has no place to use the slip and tucks in behind the #17.

At 120 and the bonus, Brown grabs the tailpipe on the #14.

LaMorte and Orlandi trade paint down the straight at 160 before burning 2 wear each in the Kink. Tatum brings up the rear at 160.

The race for the series championship tightens up while Brown moves up to challenge for a promotion spot.

Note that S1 is potentially in play after you cross the finish line. If entered in the turn you finish, wear usage (or a chance roll) will ensue. Also note the rule below for spinning due to failed chance or brake rolls.

From the CFR rulebook:
Cars that crash the turn they finish the race are considered to have not finished the race. Cars that spin the turn they finish the race are considered to have finished last among other cars that finished the race that turn.

Turn 30 Summary

Coyle burns off his last tire on The 90 line and is poised for the win.

Ales races out of Big Bend at 140 and clips a tire in Little Bend before setting up the last line. Incorpora continues at 120 and sits on the inner rail of Little Bend.

Brandt knocks down 2 wear on the Big Bend line at 120 and sidles up next to the #8.

Ling runs the outer rail in Big Bend at 120 for 2 wear, ending to the inside. Mossman scrapes 2 tires on the Big Bend line and tucks in between the red Chevy and black Ford.

Brown has the initiative at 120. He burns 2 wear on the Big Bend line and with the bonus pulls even with the #14. Hancock drops her last wear at 100 on the Big Bend line and grabs the tailpipe on the #17.

LaMorte runs the Big Bend line for 2 wear at 120. Orlandi, at 120 and with the line blocked, takes off 2 wear on the outer rail.

Tatum runs the Kink at 140 for 2 tires and grabs the Big Bend line.
