The front becomes a four car pack as well as the chase pack forming up.

Next deadline: turn 13 due Friday, March 3 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 12 summary:
Jeff burns one wear in the S1 100s at 120 and gets clear of Brad who takes the safe route through the Esses at 120. William sheds one wear in S1 and keeps even with Jeff, dropping Brad to 3rd. Simone covers the Esses at 120 using the S1 120s and with a slip from Jeff finishes beside Brad.

Cody conserves wear hitting the S1 100 space at speed. Ken opens up to 140 and spends one wear in the S1 outside lane. Grant finishes the main straight at 120 and prepares for the Esses. Will comes out of The 90 at 140 and catches the Canadian's wing.

Tim finishes The 90 at 100 and drops inside. Chris knicks one wear off on The 90 racing line at 100. Kal hits the same racing line at 120 leaving behind two wear.

The promotion line gets tighter with a lead change on the track.

Next deadline: turn 14 due Monday, March 6 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 13 summary:
Jeff scuffs his tires around The Tunnel and hangs inside. William sees an opportunity to take the lead and scrubs off two wear in The Tunnel 100 finishing outside to deny Jeff the slip next turn. Brad gets a slip off of Jeff which allows him to take the corner at 120 for free. Simone, with a slip from William does the same thing.

Cody jumps out of S1 at 160 and drops two wear in S2, gaining a gap on the chase pack. Ken covers S2 at a safe 120, finishing inside. Grant sheds one wear in the S1 100s at 120, takes S2 at speed and grabs the Ken's wing. Will makes the same move, keeping right behind Grant.

Tim plots 120 and moves to the outside of S1 for free. Chris at 140 trades two wear for the 100 lane of S1, picking up 9th place. Kal shoots out of The 90 at 160 and reaches the Esses.

Trouble for the leader. Several cars burn a little rubber.

Next deadline: turn 15 due Wednesday, March 8 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 14 summary:
William plots 200 with a naked top speed roll and his engine can't handle it. He moves 180 for this turn but his top speed is now 160. Jeff hits his top speed of 160 and stays inside. Brad outguns Simone to move next at 180. He pulls even with Jeff. Simone at 160 settles in behind Jeff.

Cody burns two wear around The Tunnel 120s at 160 and finishes inside. Ken plots 120 shedding one wear on the inside of The Tunnel. Grant plots 100 and with the slip is able to keep on Ken's tail. Will scrubs off two wear in the 100 space at 140 and finishes beside Grant.

Chris drops one wear in S2 at 140 and stays inside. Tim stays safe at 120 and grabs onto the silver machine. Kal covers the Esses at 120 for free and finishes just one space behind Tim.

The top 4 are in the Carousel but spending wear. The chase pack makes up some ground.

Next deadline: turn 16 due Friday, March 10 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC
(Note: for those who do not use Daylight Savings Time, it begins this weekend so beginning with turn 17 next Monday the UTC cutoff will be 10pm)

Turn 15 summary:
The first four cars enter the Carousel for the second time, all at 140mph. William, Brad and Simone all in the outside lane (one wear) and Jeff on the inside (two wear).

Cody unleashes his engine and sets up just short of the corner at 180. Ken also covers most of the back straight at 180. Will gets the jump on Grant and pushes his powerplant up to 200! (two skill: modified 0) Grant hits his top speed of 160 and gets a slip space from Ken to keep on his wing. (Note: Grant actually "earned" two slip spaces since Ken did 180, but there is nowhere for him to use the second space)

Chris conserves his vast store of wear by taking the Tunnel 100s at 100. Tim takes an RM plot around the outside of the corner at 120. Kal also stays in conservation mode around the Tunnel outside lane at 120.

4 more into the Carousel with Grant as the renegade inside laner.

Next deadline: turn 17 due Monday, March 13 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC (note the UTC time change)

Turn 16 summary:
The top four are all locked at 140 and exit the Carousel in a nice neat line; William, Jeff, Brad and Simone in that order. (I suspect that won't be such a neat line next turn)

Cody covers the Carousel at a safe 120 on the outside. Will uses all his brakes to get to 160, scrubbing off two wear in the 120s but catching Cody for now. Ken sheds one wear in the outside lane at 140 to keep on the wing of the black racecar. Grant plots 120 and takes a slip from Ken, dropping one wear in the 100s.

Chris maxes at 160 down the straightaway. Tim plots 120 (possibly looking at the turn 15 map?) and keeps inside. Kal uses one skill to roar down the back straight at 200mph (modified 4) and grabs the wing of Chris' silver machine as well as 10th place.

A quiet turn up front. In the back Kal picks up 9th place.

Next deadline: turn 18 due Friday, March 17 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 17 summary:
William leads the pack to the Kink at 160. Jeff does 140 and slips the blue car to stay with him. Brad at 160 keeps in the queue. Simone is the lone radical plotting 160 and with a slip moves up alongside Brad.

Cody opens up wide to 180 and gains a space on the leaders. Will finishes the Carousel at 160, losing Cody's draft. Ken likewise loses Will's draft as he continues the corner at 140. Grant finishes the same corner at 120 and grabs onto the yellow machine.

Chris preserves some rubber by hitting the Carousel 100 lane at speed. Kal takes advantage of Chris' cautious move and sheds one wear in the 120s at 140. Tim hits the approach to the Carousel at 140.

The front 7 have single digit wear while the back 4 are in double digits. As we approach lap 3 how big a factor will that be?

Next deadline: turn 19 due Monday, March 20 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 18 summary:
William digs into Big Bend at 120 and sheds half of his remaining wear on the racing line. Jeff follows onto the line also at 120. Brad plots 120 and takes a slip off Jeff, ducking inside to take 2nd for now. Simone takes an RM plot of 120 and finishes outside.*

Cody covers the Kink at 120 and finishes inside. Will drops one wear in the Kink to make up the gap Cody had on him. Ken shoots down the straight at 160 and also makes up the gap that Will had on him. Grant does 160 and takes a slip from Ken to pull alongside him.

Kal finishes the Carousel 120s at 140 (wear already paid) and takes the inside lane. Chris covers the Carousel 100s at a safe speed and also slides inside. Tim scrubs off one wear in the Carousel 120s at 140 and finishes next to Chris' silver machine.

*If Simone had actually been blocking the line that someone could have used he would have, instead, been moved inside. Also, since he is already in a space with the line on an RM plot, he CANNOT use the line next turn.

Our leader takes an RM plot but it doesn't really hurt him. And another big roar is heard down the chute.

Next deadline: turn 20 due Wednesday, March 22 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 19 summary:
William is NPR so he maintains his 120 through Little Bend and finishes in the outside lane. Jeff jumps out on Brad at 120 around the Big Bend racing line, shedding two wear and keeping on William's wing. Brad holds on to his last wear by taking the Big Bend 80s at speed and ducks back to the inside. Simone plots 80 around the 80s as well but picks up a slip from Jeff to pull alongside Brad. (He could not use the racing line since he was NPR last turn)

Cody also slows to the Big Bend line's 80mph to save some rubber. Will does 100 and looks for the line but with Cody on it he's forced outside for one wear. Grant plots 120 but there's not enough room so he locks up the tires shedding one wear and finishing on the racing line. Ken at 100 ducks inside of Grant and maintains his position.

Kal uses two skill to exceed his top speed and the engine holds. (modififed 4) Chris maxes his car at 160 and stays inside. Tim plots 140 and settles into a slip position behind Chris.

Only one position change but a lot of jockeying.

Next deadline: turn 21 due Friday, March 24 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 20 summary:
William leans on his brakes to negotiate The 90 at speed on the racing line. Jeff plots 100 and wants the line also, but with William blocking is forced around the 80s shedding one wear. Brad's inside position lets him move before Simone, going 120 he picks up The 90 line. Simone, also at 120, finishes inside of Brad for the turn's only position change.

Cody jumps out of Big Bend at 120 and keeps pace with the two in front of him. Will is limited to 100 to finish the 80s (wear already paid) and moves inside. Ken sails around Big Bend's 80s at 120 scrubbing off two wear and pulling even with the black racecar. Grant wisely saves wear by doing 80 around the line and sets up behind Will.

Kal gains a spot on the cars he's chasing by dumping two wear on the Big Bend line at 120. Chris picks up 2 spaces on Kal as he drives the Kink at 160. Tim plots 120 and gets a slip from Chris but loses the draft for next turn.

An exciting start to lap 3. Drivers burn 11 wear points, Jeff moves into the lead pushing William out of the top 4 and moving Cody in and Tim spins.

Next deadline: turn 22 due Monday, March 27 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 21 summary:
William covers the main straight at 140 and chooses to stay in the middle lane. Jeff winds up to 140 also and with the slip from William ducks inside for P1. Brad wins the race to bald tires as rounds The 90 racing line at 100. Simone conserves his tires at 80 through the 80s.

Cody sheds one wear around The 90 racing line at 100 and finishes even with Simone. Will's inside position lets him move before Ken, knocking off two wear at 100 on the racing line. Ken wanted the same but with the line now blocked he shoots outside for free. Grant plots 120 and the only spot for him in The 90 is the 80 lane at a cost of two wear.

Kal sheds a wear in Little Bend at 140 and grabs The 90 racing line. Chris scrubs off two wear on the Big Bend line at 120. Tim hits Big Bend at 140 letting go of two wear and rolls a 9 on chance, ending up looking at infield instead of asphalt.

Only one position changes but several drivers are pouring it on.

Next deadline: turn 23 due Wednesday, March 29 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 22 summary:
Jeff scrubs one wear off in S1 at 120 to take the clear lead. William takes his machine around the outside of S1 at 120 and grabs Jeff's tailpipe. Brad keeps his tenuous grasp on P3 in the outside lane of S1 at 120. Simone has the inside advantage and at 120 sets up in the inside lane ready for the Esses.

Cody also at 120 stays right next to Simone. Will exits The 90 at 160 and makes it three wide entering the Esses. Grant continues The 90 at 120 (wear paid) and holds the inside lane. Ken is locked at 100 as he too finishes The 90 and drops down inside.

Kal sheds two wear around The 90 racing line and finds room between Grant and Ken to slide in, taking P8. Chris continues his charge as he leaves two wear on The 90 racing line at 120. Tim recovers from his spin at 60.

The chase pack is forming back up for the big push to the finish. Ken and Chris lurking not far behind.

Next deadline: turn 24 due Friday, March 31 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 23 summary:
Jeff drops to 100 and stays inside all the way around the Tunnel. William plots 120 which gives him several options based on Jeff's move. He chooses to save wear and take the outside lane around the corner. Brad finishes the Esses at 120 and stays inside. (The pack has caught him, how long before they overtake him?) Simone drops one wear in S1 at 120 and finishes on Brad's tailpipe.

Cody also sheds one wear in S1 to stay right beside the Italian. Will sees this coming and steps a bit hard on the brakes (one wear) grabbing Simone's wing. Grant makes a big move at 140, scrubbing off two wear in S1 and another in S2 but he clears the Esses in one move and is primed to become part of the chase pack. Kal plots 100 and gets a slip off of Grant. He takes the S1 100 and finishes inside.

Ken knocks off one wear at 120 in the S1 100 to keep up with Kal. Chris covers the main straight at 140 and prepares for the Esses. Tim winds back up to 120 leaving two wear points on The 90 racing line.
