The race tightens up...

Turn 25 Summary
Torrezno approaches the Hairpin in the middle lane at 100. Ling is just shy of making contact with the leader, clipping 2 tires at 100 on the inside line of The 90.

Orlandi burns a tire at 100 on the outer rail of The 90. Incorpora finds an open line on The 90 and scrapes off a wear at 100.

Tatum, with the initiative, pulls up to The 90 on the inner line at 160. LaMorte, at 140, grabs the outside line.

Brown gets the initiative at 160. He swerves around the #2 car, moving to the outer rail with the bonus. Ales, at 140 and the slip, slides onto the left panel of the Miller Lite Ford and sits on the inner line.

Mossman guns the engine down the stretch at 160. Brandt pushes top speed with his last chip (modified 10). He red lines the engine and has to pull back to 140. Hancock comes out of the Triangle at 140.

Bauska runs up to the Triangle on the line at 160.

The dice have struck again...

Turn 26 Summary
Torrezno takes the Hairpin 80's for free at 80. Ling slows his Ford down to 60 before running the Hairpin on the inside rail.

Incorpora, moves to the outer rail on the Hairpin at 100. Orlandi, also at 100, opts for the inside lane.

Tatum burns 2 tires on The 90 inner line at 100. Brown, at 100, takes the outside rail for a wear and blocks the 2nd line.

Ales clips 2 tires on the inside line of The 90 and tucks in between the #50 and the M&M's Ford. Facing a blocked line, LaMorte runs the outer rail in The 90 for a wear.

Mossman pulls up to The 90 on the inside lane at 160. Hancock flies down the straight, also at 160. Brandt uses some TLC on his broken engine at 120.

Bauska misplots* and careens around the Triangle on the outside rail at 120. When he hits the slow part of the corner, he clips 2 tires and goes to the chance table (naked 8).

* As much as I wished to prompt Gatlin for a correction, RM's are instructed not to do so in league play. We takes what you gives us.

I do not correct my son in league play either. I make a comment or suggestion before moves, but do not modify his orders either.

Lots of wear falling off the cars this turn.

Turn 27 Summary
Torrezno clips a tire at 100 in the Amphitheater 80's. Ling burns 2 wear in the 80's at 120 and makes contact with the leader (first contact since the start of the race).

Incorpora gets the initiative at 100 and scrubs off a tire as he continues on the outer rail of the Hairpin. Orlandi dumps a wear at 80 in the Hairpin 60.

Tatum sloughs off 2 tires in the Hairpin 80 at 100, setting up a 3-wide going into the Amphitheater.

Ales runs the Hairpin 80's at 80 for free (no slip requested). Brown takes the inside rail on the Hairpin for a wear at 80. LaMorte moves to the outer rail in the Hairpin at 100 for free.

Mossman drops a tire as he cruises through the inside line on The 90 at 80. Hancock follows the groove of the #14, also at 80 for a wear. Brandt, at 120, careens through The 90's outer line for 2 wear.

Bauska takes an RM plot of 20 as he recovers from his spin*

Turn 28 Deadline: Wednesday, December 21st @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)

*That's 2 Gatlin - 3 NPR's is subject to removal from the race. You could retire the car voluntarily but then you'd cede the possibility of picking up any Grand Prix points.

Turn 28 Summary
Torrezno pulls up to the Paddock at 120. Ling continues to sit on the Spaniard's tailpipe, also at 120.

Tatum gets the initiative at 100 and clips a tire in the Amphitheater 80's. Incorpora also takes the 80's but saves the wear at 80. Orlandi drops to 60 on the inner rail of the Amphitheater for free.

Brown runs the Amphitheater outer rail at 120 at a cost of 1 wear. Ales burns 2 tires in the Amphitheater 80's at 120 and tucks in behind the #8. LaMorte finishes the Hairpin outer rail, dropping to 80 to avoid the tread cost.

Mossman, at 80, clips a tire in the Hairpin 60. Hancock pulls up to the Hairpin at 100 on the inside. Brandt pulls alongside the #3 at 120 (note: the mis-aligned rows give Hancock preference regardless of speed).

Bauska pulls his car off the course for an early retirement.

Hope your holidays are going well!

I've been on the road all day yesterday and settled in at my FIL's house for the next week. We should be able to get another turn or two in...

Turn 29 Summary
Torrezno saves this wear at 80 through the Paddock 80's. Ling keeps the pressure on at 100, clips a tire in the Paddock 80's, and pulls up on the numbers of the #25.

Tatum pulls up to the Paddock at 100 on the inside. Orlandi and Incorpora line up next to the #50, both at 120.

Ales, continuing at 120, tucks in behind the flag car. Brown drops to 100 to avoid further wear expenditure.

LaMorte burns a tire in the Amphitheater 80's at 100. Mossman, at 120, slashes 2 tires in the Amphitheater 80's and grabs the tailpipe on the #2.

Hancock drops a wear at 80 in the Hairpin 60. Brandt tucks in behind the #3 after running the Hairpin 80's at 80 for free.

Turn 30 Summary
Ling gets the initiative at 160 to grab the lead. Torrezno uses his last chip on the Acc table to hit 140 (modified 6).

Incorpora gets the initiative at 100 and clips a tire in the Paddock 80's. Tatum runs the Paddock 80's at 80 for free and tucks in behind the #8. Orlandi, also at 80, uses the 80's and stays on the numbers of the #50.

Ales stays on the tailpipe of the flag car through Paddock at 80. Brown burns a tire in the Paddock 80's at 100.

LaMorte pulls up to the Paddock corner at 120 on the inside. Mossman finishes out the Amphitheater at 120, sitting on the bumper of the #2.

Hancock drops a wear in the Amphitheater 60's at 80. Brandt sees the writing on the wall and pulls his car off the track. He'll be waiting for us in New York for the season finale at The Glen.

Turn 31 Summary
Ling plots 100 then brakes down to 80 with his last chip (modified 3). He clips a tire on the line through The Wall. Torrezno also plots 100 with a subsequent brake down to 80 (naked 7). He follows the groove of the #17 for a wear.

Incorpora takes the middle lane at 140. Tatum grabs the inside lane next to the #8 at 140 and the slip. Orlandi tucks in behind the #50, also at 140.

Ales runs up on the bumper of the Budweiser Chevy at 140 and the slip. Brown, at 160, grabs the tailpipe on the #88.

LaMorte burns a tire in the Paddock 80's at 100. Mossman runs the 80's for free at 80. Hancock pulls up to the Paddock at 100.

Turn 32 Deadline: Tuesday, January 3rd @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)
If all plots are in, an early adjudication is possible this weekend. Monday is a definite no-go.

Turn 32 Summary
Ling creates a big gap on the field at 140 and takes the line over the Bridge for free. Torrezno has to plot 80 after being hung up on The Wall.

Incorpora gets the initiative at 100 then clips 2 tires around The Wall via the line. Tatum drops to 60 with his big brakes and dumps a wear on The Wall 40.

Orlandi ensures he goes first by plotting 120. He brakes to 100 on the tables (naked 3) then burns 2 tires in the groove. Ales, at 100, checks down to his third option and runs the outer rail on The Wall for 2 chips. Brown pays 2 wear to enter The Wall on the line at 100.

LaMorte approaches The Wall at 140 with all options on the table next turn. At 160, Mossman grabs the bumper of the #2. Hancock saves her wear at 60 on the inner rail of the Paddock.

Turn 33 Deadline: Wednesday, January 4th @ 8 a.m. EST (1 p.m. GMT)

Turn 33 Summary
Ling takes the S1 groove for free at 120. Torrezno runs the line over the Bridge at 140.

Incorpora follows the groove of the #25, also at 140. Tatum, at 140, takes the same path as those before. Orlandi does not contest position and pulls onto the Bridge line at 120.

Ales finishes The Wall at 100 as does Brown. Side by side racing going into the Bridge.

LaMorte dumps 2 wear at 100 in The Wall on the line. Mossman drops to 80 and takes The Wall 40 for 2 tires.

Hancock pushes her engine to 160 with a chip (modified 6). No lane designation puts the #3 off the line.

Turn 34 Deadline: Monday, January 9th @ 12 noon EST (5 p.m. GMT)
If all plots are in by Thursday morning, we can squeeze another turn in. I'm at a conference all weekend (Chicago in January... brrrrrrr).

Turn 34 Summary
Ling takes the S2 line for free at 100 and is poised for the straight. Torrezno, at 120, takes the two Ess curves on the lines for a wear.

Incorpora and Tatum both run the S1 line at 120 for free. Orlandi pulls up to S1 on the line at 120.

Ales and Brown take turns on the Bridge line at 140 then continue to trade paint. Ales gets a friendly wave from the #38 as they approach the Ess curves.

LaMorte plays the devil at 120 on the Bridge, tying up the line. Denied the line, Mossman takes the outer rail on the Bridge for free at 140.

Hancock clips 2 tires in the 40 spot on The Wall at 80.

Turn 35 Summary
Ling flies down the straight at 160. Toreezno comes out of the Ess curves at 140.

Incorpora navigates S2 on the line for free at 100. Tatum follows the same groove but selects the outside lane. Orlandi takes the Ess curve lines at 100 for free.

Ales, at 120, takes the S1 line for free then finds the S2 line blocked. He runs on the outer rail for a wear. Brown, also at 120, runs the S1 groove then brakes down to 100 with an SP (modified 3). He grabs the S2 line for free.

LaMorte takes the S1 line for free at 120. Mossman, also at 120, sets up the S1 line. Hancock crosses the Bridge on the line at 140 for free.

Turn 36 Deadline: Wednesday, January 11th @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
