The two cars bookending the field are now running on bald tires.

I've added two columns to the race chart. "Race Pts" are the Grand Prix points for this race as determined by current place. "Total Pts" are the cumulative points for race one and two. The green text in this column indicates cars that, as of right now, would advance to C2 next season*. There's still one more race, though, so that is extremely preliminary!

*There will not be any demotions from C3.. A potential C4 next season will not change your C3 status.

Turn 36 Summary
Ling nicks his last 2 tires on the Triangle line at 100. Torrezno pulls up to the Triangle on the line at 100.

Incorpora gives his machine all it's got at 140. He opts for the middle lane and access to the line next turn. Tatum's bigger engine allows him to pull even with the #8 at 160. He grabs the inside rail.

Orlandi tucks in behind the #50 at 160. Brown, also at 160, grabs the tailpipe on the #18. Ales stays even with the #38 at 140 and the bonus.

LaMorte runs the S2 on the line for free at 100. Mossman takes the Ess curves at 100 in the grooves for free and sits on the bumper of the #2. Hancock knocks down her last wear at 140 on the S1 line.

Ales makes a big move to stay relevant!

Turn 37 Summary
Ling races down the stretch at 160. Torrezno hangs onto his one wear at 60 on the Triangle line.

Incorpora has the initiative at 100 but is denied the line. He clips 2 tires on the outer rail of the Triangle. Tatum drops 2 wear at 80 in the Triangle 40 and is now in 2nd place.

Orlandi grabs the dice cup, dropping to 100 (naked 8) and dumps 2 tires on the Triangle line. Brown, at 100, saves his tires on the outer rail. Ales takes his 100 into the Triangle 40 for 2 wear. He uses his last 2 chips on the chance roll (modified 6) and somehow manages to keep his car on the track in one piece.

LaMorte takes the straight at 140. Mossman pulls up on the numbers of the #2 at 160. Hancock runs the S2 groove at 100 for free.

Turn 38 Deadline: Tuesday, January 17th @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
We have a Monday holiday in the states. If all plots are in by tomorrow afternoon, I may be able to get one more turn in.

The main peleton is packed tight. The bigger engines have taken over the top spots.

Note: The tiebreaker for promotion is highest finish, thus Tatum has the advantage over Torrezno. With another race to go, this is more for informational purposes.

Turn 38 Summary
Ling slows down a bit as he preps The 90 on the outer line.

Tatum races down the stretch at 160. Torrezno pushes his engine to 120 (naked 7).

Orlandi has the initiative at 160 and squeezes his car into the space between the #50 and #25. Ales pulls alongside the #18 at 140 and the slip. Incorpora tucks in behind the #88 at 140.

Brown drops to 60 in the Triangle, avoiding any wear usage. At 100, LaMorte runs the Triangle groove for a wear and drops 2 skill on a chance roll (modified 3). Mossman clips 2 tires in the Triangle 40 at 80.

Hancock readies her black Chevy for the Triangle on the line at 140.

Turn 39 Deadline: Wednesday, January 18th @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
Soft deadline is Tuesday if all plots are in.

Tatum is putting real pressure on Ling and has 3 wear to back it. This should prove to be an exciting race to the finish. Mossman is the wear boss but will he run out of track?

Turn 39 Summary
Ling drops to 80, taking The 90 on the outer line for free.

Tatum pushes his engine to 180 (naked 7) and sets up the outer line. Orlandi keeps up at 140 and gets the rare double slip, also moving to the outside line.

Ales approaches The 90 at 140 with no lane preference (default is inside). Torrezno grabs the outer 90 line at 140 plus the bonus. Incorpora also gets the slip at 140 and finds some space between the #88 and #25. Three wide going into The 90!

Brown runs his speed up to 120. Mossman races down the stretch at 160 and pulls in front of the #38. LaMorte pulls up on the numbers on the M&M's car at 140.

Hancock takes the Triangle line at 60 for free.

Three drivers go to the dice cup and two come out unscathed...

Barring any miscues from LIng or Tatum, they should arrive in first & second (order tbd). The battle for 3rd place is going to be epic!

Turn 40 Summary
Ling pulls up to the Hairpin at 100 on the inside lane. Tatum runs The 90 on the outer groove at 100 and drops a wear for the privilege.

Orlandi takes a brake test to get his car down to 80 (naked 11) before taking The 90 line for free. He incurs a wear damage and will have to be very careful with those brakes with a third of a lap left.

Ales plots 100 to keep initiative then brakes to 80 (naked 3). He takes the inside line for a wear. Incorpora clips 2 tires as he gets pushed into the 60's. Torrezno, with his line blocked, takes the outer rail in The 90 for free at 100.

Mossman hits the nitro at 180 and 2sp on the dice (modified 6). He grabs the outer line in front of The 90. Brown stays on the tail of the #14 at 160 plus the bonus (his plot specified +1 slip so I did not grant the double bonus).

LaMorte loses ground at 140. Hancock comes out of the Triangle at 140 to bring up the rear.

Turn 41 Deadline: Monday, January 23rd @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
Early adjudication possible with all plots in.

The calm before the storm with many drivers having their eyes on that final podium spot.

Turn 41 Summary
Ling takes the Hairpin at 60 in the 60 spot for free. Tatum runs the Hairpin 80's at 80 for free.

Orlandi, at 100, takes the Hairpin on the outer rail for free. Ales and Incorpora both pull up to the Hairpin at 100, with Ales maintaining inside position.

Torrezno drops to 80 in The 90 to avoid wear payment. Mossman clips a tire at 100 on the outer line. Brown follows the same groove at 100 for a wear in The 90.

LaMorte runs The 90 on the inside line at 100. He burns a wear and tosses in his last skill chip on the chance table (modified 6). Just enough to keep his car in one piece! Hancock races down the straight at 160.

Wow.. there was a LOT going on that turn although it could have been much worse!

Turn 42 Summary
LIng uses all the willpower he has to not roll the dice - he takes the Amphitheater 80's for free at 80. Tatum, at 100, runs in behind the #17 for a wear.

Ales plots 100 and was hoping to run the 80's. Unfortunately, from his lane he is only able to access the 60 spot. He burns his last wear and goes to the chance table (naked 9). His car spins in and is blocking the inner rail.

Incorpora runs the Hairpin 80's at 100 for his last wear. Orlandi pushes his luck at 100 on the outer rail (naked 7) and spins as he hits the slower portion of his lane.

Torrezno, at 60, was hoping to get through the Hairpin on the inside. A spun car pushes him into the 80's. Mossman is looking to clear the Hairpin at 100 but with few options, chooses the middle lane and the forced pass attempt with 2sp (modified 8). He dumps a tire and is through!

Brown takes the outer rail of the Hairpin at 100 for free. LaMorte pulls up to the Hairpin at 100 on the inside lane.

Hancock slows to 80 then right before The 90 rolls the dice with 1sp to get down to 60 (modified 3). Her car is on the line and ready to roll next turn.

Five cars with little to no wear attempting to clear the Amphitheater next turn. This will be interesting...

Turn 43 Summary
Ling finishes the Amphitheater at 80. Tatum does the same at 100 and pulls up on the numbers of the #17.

Incorpora runs the Amphitheater 80's for free at 80. Mossman clips 2 tires in the 80's at 120 and is sitting the tailpipe of the #8 car.

Ales comes out of his spin at 60. Orlandi also recovers at 60 and tucks in behind the #88. Torrezno continues the Hairpin at 80 and slides in next the blue Ford.

LaMorte did not learn Ales' lesson. He plots 80 looking for the 80's but that is impossible from his position. He must burn his last wear in the Hairpin 60's, setting up the three-wide going into the Amphitheater.

Brown drops to 80 in the Hairpin, avoiding wear usage on the outer rail. Hancock takes The 90 on the line for free at 60.

The inevitable has finally happened... Tatum takes the lead and will bring home the trophy next turn!

I was only missing Christina's plot but since there is no possibility of a change in her position I took the liberty to move her, risk free (hard deadline is still tomorrow so no NPR).

C2 is starting Watkins Glen next week and I'd like for us to be hot on their tails. We should be able to finish this race next week with builds due for the Glen the week after.

The track's been posted at Redscape for some time now: http://www.redscape.com/viewtopic.php?f=155&p=51710#p51710

Gatlin is not making the trip to New York with us so I am backfilling his spot with a driver off the waitlist. If any of you do not plan on continuing, please advise ASAP!

Turn 44 Summary
Tatum gets the initiative at 100 and burns his last tire in the Paddock 80's for the lead. Ling pulls in behind the #50 at 80.

Incorpora pulls up to the Paddock at 120. Mossman stays on his tail, also at 120.

Ales gets to the Amphitheater 80's first at 80 for free. Torrezno, also at 80, ducks into the 60's and tosses off his last wear. LaMorte is odd man out and must settle for the outer rail in the Amphitheater at 80.

Orlandi pulls in behind the #88 at 80. Brown's eyes open wide in disbelief as he finds a clear lane. He scrapes off his last bit of rubber in the 60's at 80 and advances from 9th place to 6th.

Hancock hits the Hairpin 80's for free at 80.

Turn 45 Deadline: Monday, January 30th @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
I can process another turn tomorrow with all plots in.

Tatum crosses the finish line and takes 1st place! There's still some dice to roll... let's keep it going.

Turn 45 Summary
Tatum waves to the grandstands as he passes the finish line at 160. Ling finishes Paddock at 80 but has to be concerned about the #14.

Incorpora runs the Paddock in the 80's for free and tucks in behind the #17. Mossman clips his last tire at 100 in the Paddock 80's and is poised for a podium finish.

Torrezno pulls up to Paddock at 100 on the inside. Brown and Ales, both at 120, slot in next to the #25.

LaMorte and Orlandi finish out the Amphitheater at 80 apiece. Who gets to Paddock first?

Hancock finishes the Hairpin at 80.

A few spins in the back this turn. One shootout left and then we can put this one to bed...

Turn 46 Summary
Ling at 160 (naked 6), Mossman at 180 (naked 6), and Incorpora at 140 (modified 6) all test their engines across the finish line, ending in that order.

LaMorte rolls on the chance table at 100 into the 80's (naked 9). Orlandi rolls the dice at 80 into the 60's (naked 7). They both spin with the #18 having position advantage next turn.

Hancock runs the Amphitheater 80's at 80 for free.

Turn 47 Deadline: Wednesday, February 1st @ 12 noon EST (4 p.m. GMT)
I really just need orders from Pepe, Chris, and Mario. I'll auto move the rest afterwards as nothing can change the car order.

Three more cross the line...

Turn 47 Summary
Brown pushes to 160 with his last skill (modified 3) for 5th place. Torrezno pushes to 140 (naked 6) and takes 7th. Ales leaves the dice on the table and gets 6th place at 140.

Orlandi and LaMorte re-start from their spins at 60.

Hancock pulls up to the Paddock at 120.

I auto-piloted from here since car placement could not be altered.

Turn 48 Summary

I rolled the dice for both Orlandi and LaMorte for no other reason than to make their track speeds look a little better. Claudio's didn't come out so nice but he can now proudly cross the finish line with two red markers on his car.

Hancock takes the Paddock 80's for free then will cross next turn at 180. I pushed both her Acc (modified 7) and top speed (modified 5) using her last four skill points.

Thanks to all of you for a great race. Information forthcoming later today with deadlines for Watkins Glen.
