The battle continues up front while the mid-pack negotiates the Hairpin

Next deadline: turn 13 due Monday, October 24 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 12 summary:
Jeff finishes the Hairpin at 80 and sets up for the Amphitheater. Tim takes an RM plot of 60 around the inside and finishes outside. Kal puts two wear to use around the inside at 100 and pulls even with the leader. William keeps at 80 around the middle of the Hairpin for free.

Chris is also MIA and takes the fastest line he can into the Hairpin on the outside. Cody scrubs off one wear at 80 on the 60 space of the Hairpin to pick up two spots. Ken and Simone both exit The 90 at 100 and finish at the Hairpin.

Brad continues through The 90 at 80, wear already paid. Will takes the outer racing line through The 90 for free. Grant maxes his acceleration down the straightaway keeping it centered between the walls.

Next deadline: turn 15 due Friday, October 28 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 14 summary:
Kal drops two more wear to clear the Paddock corner. Jeff exits the Amphitheater at 120 and keeps with Kal for now. Tim holds 100 and loses a space to Jeff. William, continuing at 120, is able to slip in between Jeff and Tim to take 3rd.

Kal gets some space up front.

Note: Last turn's narrative said that Ken burned two wear in the Amphitheater corner. He in fact only used one, and there was only one deducted so the data box was/is correct.

I got inspired by watching the highlights of the USGP from COTA. Every time they showed a drivers name it had his flag next to it. So.....if you don't have a flag on your data box let me know where you is, and if you do have one and for whatever reason don't want it there, let me know and I will get rid of it but good.

Next deadline: Turn 16 due Monday, October 31 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 15 summary:
Kal fires out of the Paddock corner at 140 and crosses the line to begin lap 2. Jeff drops one wear in the Paddock 80s at 100 and stays inside. William does the same staying right with him. Cody gets the jump on Tim at 100 shedding two wear in the Paddock 60, picks up 4th place and threatens William for 3rd.

Tim clears the Paddock 80s for free. Simone jumps out of the three wide at 120 and scrubs off one wear in the Paddock 100. Brad does 100 and sets up for the corner on the inside. Ken, also at 100, stays right beside Brad.

Will comes out of the Amphitheater corner at 120 and makes it three wide entering the Paddock corner. Chris is NPR and does 100 finishing outside. Grant drops one wear entering The Hairpin 80 at 100.

I absolutely love the flags, Jim!

Think I'll find a way to incorporate them into my race charts.

William, Jeff and Cody cut into Kal's lead but all are screaming towards The Wall. Next turn should be interesting.

Next deadline: turn 17 due Wednesday, November 2 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 16 summary:
Kal slows to 100 and sets up on The Wall line. Jeff hits his top speed of 140 and keeps his options open in the middle lane. William plots 160 and looks for a slip, but since Jeff was slower he settles for grabbing 2nd place to Jeff's inside. Cody also does 160 and makes it three wide heading into The Wall.

Tim maxes his acceleration out of the Paddock corner and finishes inside. Simone slows to 100 to finish the Paddock for his already paid wear. Will gets the jump on the three wide and ducks through the Paddock 80s at 120 scrubbing off two wear, picking up 6th place. Ken also follows the 80s but at 100 shedding a wear and finishing beside Simone.

Brad is third through the 80s. He does so at 80 for free and grabs the wing of the purple race car. Chris is last through the 80s dropping one wear at 100 and catching Brad. Grant finishes the Hairpin at 100 for his already paid wear and knocks two more wear off on the short path around the Amphitheater.

A crash shakes up the points. The first three wide gets through The Wall safely but another one has formed.

Next deadline: turn 18 due Friday, November 4 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 17 summary:
Kal covers the wall racing line at 100 dropping two wear. William is first out of the three way plotting 120 then late braking to 100 (naked 7) and taking the outside for two wear. Jeff also sheds two wear as he follows Kal around the racing line and moves back into 2nd. Cody test his brakes (naked 6) to get to 80 and loses one wear on the line behind Jeff.

Tim plots 140 which sends him into The Wall, literally, as being +80 leaves him no chance to make the corner. Will counts on that big acceleration as he screams up to the corner at 160. Ken has the same braking advantage and makes the same move keeping on Will's tail. Simone takes a slip from Will at 140 and stays inside picking up a position. Chris gets a slip from Ken and at 160 takes the center to make it three wide again at the entrance to The Wall.

Brad takes the slip from Simone and finishes in the middle lane behind Chris. Grant finishes the Amphitheater at 100 for already paid wear and gets the Paddock corner in sight.

'Mater makes his appearance. It's a four car breakaway up front.

Next deadline: turn 19 due Monday, November 7 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC.
(Note the time, in the U.S. daylight savings time ends Sunday, November 6)

Turn 18 summary:

Kal maxes his acceleration and covers the Bridge racing line at 140 for free. Jeff does the same to keep the gap at two spaces. Cody comes off of The Wall at 140 and keeps pace with Jeff on the line. William gets a slip from Jeff but with the line blocked is forced outside in the Bridge.

Will heats up his big brakes slowing to 80 and dropping a wear on The Wall racing line. Simone comes out of the three wide first, swinging outside he sheds a wear in the 60s and finishes with a block of the racing line for those following. Chris also has to cover the outside of the corner as he maxes his brakes to 100 and clips 2 wear, but grabs 6th from Simone. Ken also relies on his big brakes but with the line blocked is forced around the outside scraping off one wear.

Brad follows suit using all the brakes he has to get to 80 and has room on the line for one wear. Grant maintains 100 into the Paddock 80s knocking off a wear but is now staring down the straightaway.

A quiet turn with only one position change.

Next deadline: turn 20 due Wednesday, November 9 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 18 summary:
Kal clears the Esses in one shot on both racing lines, dropping one wear in S2. Jeff follows through S1 on the line at 120 for free. Cody stays in Jeff's tire tracks also at 120. William gets a slip from Jeff and keeps on the outside of Cody.

Will takes the Bridge line for free at 140. Chris gets the jump on Simone at 160 and sheds one wear on the Bridge racing line. Simone looks for a slip off of Will but with the track blocked he settles in behind him.

Brad comes out of The Wall at 140 and takes a slip off of Chris but with Simone still on the racing line he swings outside in the Bridge and keeps a slip opportunity open for next turn. Ken also does 140 but he refuses the slip and instead takes the Bridge line for free and picks up 8th place. Grant covers the main straight at 160 keeping it between the walls.

Kal stretches his lead. 5th-9th bunch up in the Esses.

Next deadline: turn 21 due Friday, November 11 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 20 summary:
Kal grabs high gear out of S2 and head towards the Triangle at 160. Jeff conserves his tires at a safe 100 through S2. William scuffs one wear off on the S2 line and pulls even with Jeff. Cody also takes the conservative 100 on the S2 line for free.

Will charges into the Esses at 140 dropping one wear around the outside of S1 and setting up on the line for S2. Chris sheds one wear on the S1 line and finishes inside Will, picking up 5th place. Simone takes the S1 line at 120 for free and finishes on the silver car's tailpipe.

Ken wants to knock one wear off on the S1 line but Simone forces him outside at the same cost. Brad plots 140 and finds all kinds of machinery blocking his path leaving his only choice the inside 100 space in S1 for 2 wear but gaining him 2 positions. Grant locks 'em up approaching the wall using one wear off the tires and one skill (modified 5) to get down to 80.

Brad and William both make big moves.

Next deadline: turn 22 due Monday, November 14 at 6pm EST/11pm UTC

Turn 21 summary:
Kal enters the Triangle 100s at 120 for one wear. William gets the jump on Jeff at 160 and grabs the Triangle racing line as well as 2nd place. Jeff maxes out at 140 and stays in the middle to keep his options open. Cody is NPR and accelerates the maximum of 20 finishing outside.

Chris takes the S2 100s at a safe 100. Will also stays safe through the line at 100 but the extra space allows him to pass Chris. Brad holds the gas down at 140 and peels two wear off his tires but picks up two spots and now leads the mid-pack.

Simone stays safe at 100 through the S2 racing line and pulls up next to Chris's silver machine. Ken cuts across the S2 line at a safe 100. (That's not flatulence, that's just his car hitting the rumble strips, I think) Grant spends one wear around The Wall line at 80.

Brad approaches the Triangle at 140 and grabs the line. Will relies on his big brakes as he pulls up to the corner at 160 and takes over 5th from Brad. Chris gets a slip from Will and holds the inside.

Simone at 140 finishes in the middle lane to keep the line available next turn. Ken uses his full acceleration to reach 160 and finishes outside of Simone. Grant takes the Bridge racing line at 140 for free and approaches the Esses.
