Two drivers MIA this turn. Guys, if you don't think you can make the deadline you still have two options: you can send turns ahead (even if you want to be vague like "I want to spend 1 wear each in the upcoming corners if possible ending as far forward as I can." I will do my best to follow such orders with one caveat, once I've moved you, you cannot come back and try to change it.) or let me know if you just need another day and I will usually grant that. But if I hear nothing, then I have no choice but to plot by the rules.

Next deadline: turn 23 due Friday, July 29 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 22 summary:
Brad and William duel down the short straight at 140 and prepare to enter the Ovalo Chicane. Jeff sails through the S2 racing line at 140 dropping 2 wear but picking up third place. Joe slows to 80 taking the S2 80s for free.

Will also takes the S2 80s for free but doesn't have enough room to get down behind Joe. Cody makes the same move as Joe and Will, blocking the S2 racing line. Simone plots 100 but with the line blocked uses the 100s for free. Chris takes a RM plot maintaining his 100 to finish the S1 line and enters the S2 100 for free.

Tim comes out of Horquilla at 120 and scrubs off a wear on the S1 line. Grant sheds a wear around the Horquilla 60 at 80 finishing inside. Ken drops a wear on the Horquilla racing line and pulls up next to Grant. Kal takes a RM plot slowing to 80 and staying safe in the Ese Del Lago 100s.

Brad is the first to wear out his tires. Fourth through sixth three wide at the Ovalo Chicane.

Next deadline: turn 24 due Monday, August 1 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 23 summary:
Brad burns his final four wear points and gains a clear lead. William plots 100 and takes the safe route around the Ovalo Chicane. Jeff whoas it down to 80 and also stays safe in the chicane's middle lane. Joe does 100 and sets up in the middle lane in front of the chicane to keep his options open.

Will goes 120 and drops inside of Joe's machine taking 4th place for now. Cody plots 120 and with a slip from Will makes it three wide entering the chicane. Simone wisely anticipates this stack up and plots 140 staying inside right behind Will. Chris is locked at 100 finishing inside as well.

Tim breaks off the S1 line [RM note: He paid 1w last turn at 120 on the line so he only has to pay 1w more this turn for 120 through the 80s] and takes the S2 line at 100 lining up on Chris' wing. Ken gets the initiative on Grant at 120 taking the S1 120s for free and grabbing the S2 line. Grant goes 100 through the S1 line and finishes inside of Ken, holding on to 10th place. Kal drops to the 40 space in Del Lago at 80 spending 2w, then grabs the Horquilla line for another wear.

The two leaders get a gap while others back up in the Ovalo Chicane/Foro Sol combination.

Next deadline: turn 25 due Wednesday, August 3 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 24 summary:
Brad hits the outside lane of Peraltada at 80 for free. William follows after scrubbing off two wear around the Foro Sol 40 space. Jeff slows to 60 and drops a wear in the Foro 40. Joe gets the jump into the Ovalo Chicane at 100, losing a wear in the 80s and shedding two more in the Foro 100s.

Cody also plots 100 but takes the free route around the chicane and finishes inside. Finally Will at 80 takes the 80s for free and ends up on the outside losing two positions in the process. Simone at 80 takes the 80s for free grabbing the tailpipe of Cody's race car. Chris slows to 80 and sets up inside to enter the chicane.

Tim at 100 pulls alongside the silver machine. Ken outguns Grant into S2 taking the racing line at 100 for free. Grant slows to 80 through the 80s to line up right behind Ken. Kal uses his massive acceleration to reach 160 losing two wear through the S1 120s.

Brad stretches his lead and William sits comfortably in second for now.

Next deadline: Turn 26 due Friday, August 5 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 25 summary:
Brad makes a naked acceleration roll (4) and gets to 160 to finish the corner. William, limited to 120 by the corner speed, finishes the corner also with a nice gap back to third. Jeff takes the outside lane around Peraltada at 100 dropping 1 wear. Joe follows with an identical move to stay right behind Jeff.

Cody slows to 80 scrubbing two wear off in the Foro Sol 40 and enters the outside of Peraltada right behind Joe. Will plots 80 and leaves a wear point in the Foro Sol 60s. Simone stays safe in Foro at 60. Tim gets the jump on Chris through the Ovalo Chicane at 100 for free and finishes inside.

Chris takes the chicane's 60 lane for free finishing outside of Tim. Ken slows to 80 and chooses the inside approach to the Ovalo Chicane. Grant maintains his 80mph and stays on Ken's wing. Kal makes easy work of S2 on the line for free and has Grant in sight.

The front half of the field strings out a little more.

Next deadline: turn 27 due Monday, August 8 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 26 summary:
Brad keeps the pedal down as he takes the white flag. William pushes his speed to 180 with 0 skill and his engine barely stays together. Jeff exits Peraltada and stays outside to break the draft but Joe anticipates that and stays right on the pink car's wing.

Cody pops up to 120 to finish the corner. Will drops a wear point on the inside at 60. Simone also leaves rubber in the corner on the outside at 100. Tim slows to 40 to take the inside of Foro Sol for free.

Chris is NPR so he takes the outside of Foro at a safe 60 and finishes outside of Tim's red racer. Ken ducks around the Ovalo Chicane on the inside at 60 at no cost. Grant takes the 80s at 100 spending a wear and pulling outside of Ken. Kal maintains 100 as he sets up for the chicane.

Battles all along the track.

Next deadline: turn 28 due Wednesday, August 10 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 27 summary:
Brad does 140 and sets up on the Ese Moises Solana racing line. William goes 160 to grab the same line right on Brad's tail. Jeff holds the pedal down at 160 and stays inside. Joe also holds 160 and gets a slip from Jeff to pull even with him.

Cody exits Peraltada at 160 and stays inside. Will maxes his acceleration to 120 as he exits the corner and also stays inside. Simone is able to wind it up to 160 to finish the corner and catch Will's black racer. Chris smokes Tim into the Peraltada at 120 scuffing 2 wear off in the outside lane, picking up a position.

Tim meanwhile stays safe on the outside at 80. Ken loses some rubber in the Foro Sol 40 at 60 and settles inside. Grant makes a big move at 100 taking the Foro 60s for a wear and a 2 skill chance roll (modified 5) and losing one more wear in the Peraltada 80 space, gaining 10th place for his effort. Kal lights up his tires for 1 wear through the chicane and two more in the Foro Sol 40 all at 80.

Cody keeps at 160 and also moves outside. Will and Simone match speeds at 160 staying side by side. Chris finishes Peraltada at 160 and crosses the start/finish line inside.

Tim also jumps to 160 with a naked acceleration roll (7) and positions himself two spaces behind Chris. Grant finishes the corner at 140 for already paid wear and starts inside. Ken drops a wear in the middle lane of Peraltada at 80. Kal holds 80 going outside in the corner for free.

Friendly dice this turn. Two side-by-side battles, the rest strung out for now.

Next deadline: turn 30 due Monday, August 15 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 29 summary:
William keeps the pedal slightly off the floor at 140 as he approaches Ese Del Lago for the last time. Brad also does 140 but needs all the pedal he has to get there. Jeff takes the short way around Ese Moises Solana at 80 dropping a wear. Joe takes the racing line at 80 for free.

Cody rolls the dice to get slowed to 100 (4) and takes the inside of Solana for his last wear and a naked chance roll (6). Will and Simone continue their drag race at 140 both setting up at the entrance to the corner. Chris and Tim both hold it at 160 down the straightaway.

Grant accelerates to 160 to keep pace with the two in front of him. Ken uses his max acceleration to exit Peraltada at 140 and drops inside. Kal uses his big acceleration to finish the corner at 160 and stays outside.

A fairly quiet turn.

Next deadline: turn 31 due Wednesday, August 18 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 30 summary:
William uses all his brakes to get to 100 and enters the Ese Del Lago 100s for free. Brad slows to 80 and sets up on the racing line. Jeff does 140 and also grabs the line right behind Brad. Cody comes off of Ese Moises Solana at 140 and stays inside.

Joe finishes the Solana line and accelerates to 140 to stay on Cody's tailpipe. Simone gets the jump on Will at 100 and sheds 2 wear in the inside 60s of Solana. Will slows all the way to 60 using a 3 skill chip to overbrake (automatic pass) and takes the inside line also. Chris slows to 120 and grabs the Solana line dropping 2 wear.

Tim slows to 140 and sets up on the line just before the corner. Grant holds at 160 and moves outside to catch the line also. Ken continues down the straightaway at 160. Kal does the same at 180 and grabs the wing of Ken's yellow racecar.

Cody spins again, the leaders bunch up.

Next deadline: turn 32 due Friday, August 19 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 31 summary:
William slows to 60 and grabs the second line in Ese Del Lago for free. Brad takes both lines in Del Lago at 60 also for free. Jeff picks up ground at 100 taking the first line and then the 60s for two wear. He grabs the start of the Horquilla line. Cody stands on the brakes to get down to 80 with a naked roll of 7. Unfortunately he rolled another 7 on his chance roll for 20mph over the racing line speed and spins in the first space of Del Lago.

Joe uses his full deceleration to get to 100 and stays outside in Del Lago for free. Simone approaches the esses at 140, starting the racing line. Will grabs all the gas he has to cover the straightaway at 120. Chris continues the Solana line at 120 and stays inside.

Tim sheds a wear on the Solana line at 100. Grant makes a two skill roll to get down to 100 (modified 9) and leaves a wear point on the line. Ken Approaches the corner at 120 on the outside and starts the line. Kal drops to 140 and sets up inside for the corner, taking the spot from Ken in the process.

A new leader! It must be the car. Giovanni won two out of three races last year in that car.

Next deadline: turn 33 due Monday, August 22 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC

Turn 32 summary:
William takes the Horquilla 60 for free and stays outside blocking the racing line. Brad slows to 60 and also takes the Horquilla 60 for free. Jeff plots 80 but with the line and the outside blocked is forced inside around the corner costing his last two wear but shooting him into the lead. Cody finishes Del Lago in the 60s and grabs the Horquilla line as he recovers from his spin.

Joe slows to 60 and grabs the second racing line for free. Simone does 80 on the first racing line, then into the 60s, and finally drops inside of Cody and in front of Joe; all this costing him one wear but gaining him two positions. Will scuffs off two wear at 100 taking the first line but having to move to the 60s to avoid Joe. Chris maintains 120 down the straightaway and starts the Del Lago line.

Tim gives it the gas and finishes inside of Chris. Grant also maxes his acceleration to 160 down the straightaway. Kal locks himself in 11th for now as he takes the Solana 60s at 100, leaving two wear points behind. Ken takes the racing line at 100 and is one wear point lighter.

Some excitement this turn but not the good kind.

Next deadline: turn 34 due Friday, August 26 at 6pm EDT/10pm UTC
NOTE: the Friday deadline. I will not be able to adjudicate on Wednesday. Orlando City has a rare weeknight game.

Turn 33 summary:
Jeff plots 120 then uses two skill to late brake to 100 (modified 2) and takes the S1 line for free. William had the same idea in mind but with the line blocked stayed at 120 through the 120s. Brad also plotted 120 and looked for a slip but with things blocked settles for the first 120 space. Simone does 100 through the Horquilla 60 scrubbing off two wear but getting clear of Cody.

Cody takes the racing line safely at 60. Joe finishes the Del Lago line and sheds a wear in the Horquilla 40 at 60. Will finishes the Del Lago 60s and picks up the Horquilla line. Tim plots 100 and scrubs off two wear in the Del Lago 60s and starts the second racing line. At this point he makes the fateful decision to leave the line to pick up the Horquilla line. This requires a naked chance roll and it comes up 10. Tim was transported to the track care center. Reports are that he was awake and talking.

Chris, at 80, takes both Del Lago lines losing one wear point. He also goes through Tim's wreckage. His chance roll is -4 (-2 from the chart and two skill) and comes out as a 3 so he's safe. Grant is NPR so he uses his max deceleration and enters the Del Lago 100s at 120 dropping one wear. Kal approaches the Esses at 140 starting the line. Ken does the same at 160, grabbing the tailpipe of the orange machine.
