Any fans?

I bought the board game a few years ago, and it's really fun. It's good for face-to-face because the minor victory takes half the time of regular Diplomacy (and finishes right around the time that eliminations are starting).

That said, the total victory looks like it would take double the time as regular Diplomacy, so it really does require PBM, PBEM, or PBF. But for some reason online sites support a barrage of variant maps but none seem to support the one and only official variant.

Have I finally found the Diplomacy site that supports Colonial Diplomacy?

It's been a very long time since Colonial was run here, if I recall correctly. It was pretty popular for a while though. Not much of a dip player anymore but have played as Britain, China, and Japan before here.

Does the official version use the TSR? Usually that's the first thing to be tossed because the judge software most GMs use doesn't support it.

If I recall TSR is an official optiona rule, along with Hong Kong and the Suez Canal.

That said, it seems essential to me. Russia is screwed Royally without the rails.

I'd love to play a full game of this, but I'm not sure how psyched I'd be without the TSR.

Cool - is that new? I haven't played at vDip in several years. I recall it being just a figure on the map and not actually usable, but maybe I'm wrong.
