Voting Primer:
Anyone who is well versed in how the voting process works can probably skip this part, but anyone looking for a refresher or who is new to the game should review it.

Voting will begin during the winter of 2020, which means we have one more guaranteed year of play.

Following the Fall 2020 adjudication, each surviving player will have an opportunity to nominate up to one coalition. A coalition consists of any three nations still in the game. Nominations are anonymous, and all nominated coalitions will be announced with the Winter 2020 adjudication.

Voting occurs between Winter 2020 and Spring 2021. All votes should be submitted along with your Spring 2021 orders. The voting results will be announced on the day of the Spring 2021 deadline. If a coalition passes, then the game will be over at that time. If no coalition passes, then Spring 2021 will be adjudicated, and play will continue through the remainder of the 2021 year. The process will begin anew with Winter 2021.

Note: If you submit votes, but do not submit orders, this counts as an NMR, and all units will hold.

A coalition requires a certain number of votes as determined by their collective class desginations. The charts in the top corners of the map provide the necessary information. For example, if someone nominated UK, Iran, and North Korea, you would look at the chart in the top right and see this a BDE coalition. Looking in the chart on the left, you would see such a coalition requires 47 votes.

There are tie-breakers available should more than one coalition have enough votes to win the game. The first tie-breaker is based on the largest margin of votes over what is required. I am noting this one in particular because it is important to understand that this means, which is that it is not simply a most votes wins situation. For example, if we use our above coalition and add in a second of Japan, Ecuador, and Sweden let's see what could happen:

UK/Iran/North Korea: Votes Required: 47 ; Votes Received: 52
Japan/Ecuador/Sweden: Votes Required: 41 ; Votes Received: 50

As you can see, both coalitions received enough votes to win, with UK/Iran/NK receiving the most votes. However, Japan/Ecuador/Sweden received 9 more votes than required vs just 5 more votes for UK/Iran/NK. This means Japan/Ecuador/Sweden would be declared the winner. For information on other tie-breakers, see the voting section of the rules page.

Note: The examples above specifically use eliminated nations. Eliminated nations do not qualify for these coalitions, so don't nominate them.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Now on to the results. Spring 2020 orders are due Tuesday, June 23rd at noon eastern.
